HI girls. I'm at work so things will be short today... Lora, Amy Grace and Marcy, I got your picks for the MAven Christmas, but I forgotmy notebook at home so I will email you all tonight. Lora: I think there was a mis-communication on the duty. You do not have to over sea the DOE thread.... I really dont know what that would entail.... so ignore for now..... I think all the numbers have been taken care of except for Denise. Will need to se if she is interested. If not, then i think we are all done and will post the grand list in the bulletin boad section of the coop. I started reading AMV last night. Are ya'll impressed or what? Its hard for me to keep focused because I am a speed reader and read like every other word or phrase so I re-read chapter 1 twice. Definately an eye opener. Going to read the newsletter. have a good day.... no word on scan yet....

Dawn and all of the east of the Rockies girls...I am so very much looking forward to meeting all of you one day. I do not think I will be able to afford to come to the spring fling, a sad thing, but I will save hugs for who ever makes it to BBB and send Maven hugs to my dear sisters now. I'm so glad to be here with all of you sharp, brave and wonderful women...we are here to stay! Sorry I'm having a mushy Maven moment
I can't wait until we all have gardens to gab about and it will be a hoot sharing seed lists all winter and seeing what we can share costs on. This Maven stuff is addicting

Annika, I was having the same thought today, as fall is certainly in the air. I am really excited about the book list for the winter tho and getting the farmgirl Uivercity Certificate going so we can all be working and sharing about that as well. Have you noticed how "fun" it is when we read mavens posts on other threads now. It is like "oh hey, there is my "friend" posting.. I just love it.

Mavens are "information specialists", or "people we rely upon to connect us with new information."[6] They accumulate knowledge, especially about the marketplace, and know how to share it with others

Rene, it is a wonderful feeling to be part of something that is so fundamentally important, and the best perk of being a Maven are the other Mavens. We are a sisterhood of great strength. I look forward to gaining my Maven U certificate and making changes and ripples in my own local area for the better. I love reading other Maven posts =) "Oh hey! I know that smart chick"! I'm lovin' it!

Can someone explain what the Christmas thing is you are talking about, please? I'm not sure when I posted last and I've been trying to read all the posts but there's lots I don't know what's going on really.

How long does it take to get put in the henhouse? Does anyone have any idea or maybe Sunny is busy with things just now?

Hi Denise, have you tried to sign in? you might have to give Sunny an email asking for help getting into the hen house if you still can't get in there.

Try your user name (levisgrammy) and your forum password. If not, give it another day... I know Sunny is swamped with a lot of stuff.
Denise: the christmas exchange is just that. We drew numbers for names and we are going to exchange gifts of garden inspiration. You are most welcome to join in! You and me can swap if you'd like. I didnt put a $ amount on it, I highly suggested that it be recycled or something re-used, but you have free reign.
HAve a good weekend girls. I will be back on Monday....

Hey everyone, just checking in to say hi. I have to go to bed - the dog got me up at 2:50, evidently just to tell me that she had peed and I needed to clean it up. I figured that out after I let her back in....then my husband decided that 4:30 am was the appropriate time to start a conversation about refinancing our house. I'm more amused by all this than anything else, that, however, doesn't help me out with the sleep deficit so.... I am sending myself to bed. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. We are going to my in-laws for the annual pumpkin carving party, lots of kids and good soup Amy Grace

Okay Annika has coined another one, MMM(mushy maven moment)lol. Hi Mavens, hope you had a glorious fall day. The sun shone and it was about 70 degrees, the fall leaves are turning yellow, red, orange, deep maroon, just gorgeous! Quilt show was quite nice. Was bad, ate at the chinese place with some friends of mine. Got home and went and worked at the cemetery, got home late. Sunday the kids and the grandkids and hubby and me are going up to Green bluff where the orchards are north eastish of Spokane and get pumpkins, apples, cider, etc. It will be lots'o fun :^) If y'all aren't on here this weekend, have a good one.

Good morning/Good evening Mavens, Just a hi howdy. How is everyone doing on their reading of AVM? Is anyone interested in doing more than 2 chapters a week? Your journaling is good, huh? Quite the eye opener. Won't it be a hoot when we all apply for our badges at once? ;^)
