Lillian, just wanted to tell you that I couldn't wait until Christmas day to give Robbie the gardening journal. I had him open it tonight and he was amazed. To quote: "This rocks!" We even took some time out tonight to start doing a little garden planning. Thank you so much for sharing that site with us.

Hey everyone!!
Rene - so glad your boys made it home okay, this storm system is just wreaking havoc across Washington and Oregon.
Denise - hope you feel up to the holidays, oral surgery and then this!!
Corinne - your package went today - it took me quite a while to get to the post office what with the weather and no car!!
Everyone else - I have loved getting cards and surprises from you, yours will come in January, something to look forward to right? Not because Amy Grace is behind or anything.
More seed catalogs came today, can't wait.
Gotta go, making cookies and wrapping gifts tonight.
Tomorrow we drive into town, work, bank, drive home and deal with the dog, drive back to town for dinner/church/pajamas, then home, then Christmas we have breakfast at my aunt and uncle's, presents at my mom and dad's, and dinner at my in-laws, so.....
Everybody have a fabulous Christmas - your friendship is a wonderful gift this year and I feel truly blessed to know y'all.
I'll talk to anyone who can check in on Friday

Thanks for the well wishes for recovery. Typing is slow as you can imagine.
Ruth, No days off during this busy time for us. I do what I can and they are fine with that.

I second the notions! the Mavens is the best thing thats happened to me in the past couple of years.... I am terrified to imagine where I'd be without all of your love and support! This is the best holiday of my life and I owe it all to all of you!

Dawn, thank you for stepping up to the bat and becoming our wonderful mama hen
We are semi-snowed in and have frozen pipes, which I am thawing out, hopefully, now. But we have Christmas lights and enough to eat so we are okay. Trudging through the snow is hard work! We finally got the car to the end of the road, but may be drifted in again and are expecting another winter storm to come in this morning around 10am.
If I don't get a chance to say so again. Merry Christmas to all of my lovely sisters and their families.

Merry Mavenly Chrismas Eve! The mail finally made it through yesterday, and I received a few more cards. Definatly a bright spot in the day. It finally looks as the weather is beginning to change over. The temp was 27 at bedtime, 31 when I got up, 33 an hour later and is snailing. That means RAIN is on the way!!!
Karen- Glad Robbie likes the journal. I too have been planning my garden already. The pages of my SSE catalog are already wearing out!
TS- I never received the publication from SSE that you did, but I received a letter asking for donations and my membership card came yesterday. Go Figure?
Denise- Take care of that wrist.
Annika- I can sympathize with the frozen pipes, thank goodness the only one left for us to worry about is the chicken waterer pipe.
Rene- Glad everyone has mede it safely!
It is official- no more snailing- it is all rain out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets just hope it stays this way!
Hoping to check back in later, not sure what the day has to bring, family will be over later.

Thanks Mav's for the well wishes for the family... It has been so much fun having him here... Seems like every kid that he graduated with has been through the doors and sleeping on my floor.. the house has been SO full and SO busy.. Just the way it should be..................
I love being a part of the Mavens (although I did learn way more about some you then I probably should have last monday night on chat) LOL.... Thank you all for the floods of beautiful cards for both my birthday and Christmas..............Karen I got yours yesterday and the "ornament" you send, has taken a prominate place on the tree.. thank you! You all make me stronger, better.... thanks.
My tag line has read.... "circumstances made us friends, but MaryJanes made us sisters" and I believe that.... Best of holiday wishes to all my sisters..........can't wait to hear all about your holidays.
Oh and by the way...........what a clever group of gals we have. for my birthday I suggested that we all do something for ourselves to help me celebrate the day... I love the phone calls and emails I received sharing your "fun adventures" in my honor..............you all ROCK! the collective energy made my day AWESOME!

Sisters - and I mean that from the bottom of my heart - you are the dearest and best thing that has happened to me this year. Here's wishing you the best holiday week ever and then.............let the gardening vortex begin!
We're getting ready to go to my BIL's shortly. I've spent the morning getting everything ready for it. We'll be on the go until tomorrow night and I'll check back in then.
