yesterday .. before i discovered Fancy Nancy .. we had planned a Princess Tea Party for Sofia's second birthday.

This is the 'gown and shoes' i got for her:

got these at TARGET

==============

i also got her all the Disney Princess shoes:

(the chile LOVES shoes!)

they come in a cute little shoe box too!

(i've decided to save these for CHRISTMAS .. rather than return them!)

================

i made little tussie mussie bouquets for each of the girls attending the party.

i can still use these at the FANCY tea party too! these are soooooo easy and inexpensive to make .. if you wanna' make some .. jus' e-mail me and i'll give you some directions. i think they probably cost less than a dollar each to make!

i got these wands for $2. each at Wally World .. they were originall meant to be princess wands .. but would be great for a fairie tea party and will surely fit in with a Fancy Nancy party too!

-------------------

ohhhhhh .. i'm jus' lovin' doing this 'grammie thing' all over again! (our other grandkids are now 14 and 21!)

will send more pics as i come up with more treasures! hope these inspire you to do something similar with your children and grandchildren! xoxo (well .. let me be sexist here for a moment and say your grand-daughters). xo

ada mae .. haven't had the party yet .. we head up there next week .. party is august 14 .. i will surely take lotsa' pictures and share stories!

melanie .. i want one too!!!

o.k. i have a cute little sofia story: wednesday said today sofia went into the bathroom and closed the door .. (she's not yet 2). wednesday waited to hear 'water' pouring forth from any source in there .. she gave her a few moments .. then knocked on the door and opened it slightly .. sofia closed it and simply said: "Almost Finished".

wednesday laughed cuz' she had just said that to her a few days earlier when sofia walked in on her! she gave her a few more moments .. heard no water .. but decided it would be wise to 'investigate' cuz' this is indeed her 'wild child' ... well, when she opened the door .. sofia stood there .. with magic marker drawings on her arms, legs, hands, feet, face, body .. smiling at her own artwork! Quick Draw McDraw!

oh gurlz .. treasure every moment with your little ones.

p.s. wednesday has heard so many 'perfect child' stories about herself from hank and i over the years .. that from time to time .. i have to remind her that she, too, would paint murals on the walls if left unattended for more than a minute or two .. i just never saw these events as less than perfect!

i left one on the wall from the day she did it until the day we moved from that home.

i had friends who reserved an entire wall in their home for their children's spontaneous art urges.
