the strip block ,you make 3 and the 4 patch you make 2. IF you are making it a scrappy quilt it makes no difference if you do light to dark or anything.

I tried to send you an email from MJ's but it bounced back so anyway if you will send me your email addy I will get you started on getting the blocks. I will send you the first ones and you will just have to catch up. I am sending them from my own email cause it is easier for me so if you want to join I have no problem just send me your info. beverley

| Just wanted to let you all know how much I am enjoying this! This is my first attempt at quilting and with a crash course in quilting from a good friend (who lives in NE and I'm in PA) I am having so much fun! I found it really intimidating to cut into my first piece of fabric but just decided to take the plunge, it wasn't going to get done by my just staring at it...and it's for me so mistakes are "learning experiences" and it doesn't matter!! |

Whew. finished my last sqaures last night! I learned that ribbon quilt is NOT my favorite. Which, I think is great - I WANTD to learn what types of patterns I liked and which I didn't!

LOL I have favorites too. What did you not like about it? Just wondering? I had to take apart a row when I did it cause I put it in upside down and it did not look right at all!!!! hehehehehe So, see all you newbies to sewing we that have been sewing for a while still have to unsew!!!! Beverley

| I think it looks nice when it is done, BUT, i am not a very precise seamstress so somethign like the log cabin is more forgiving for me. :) Plus all those little triangles just drove me nuts for some reason! LOL. It was fun to do though - like I said, I'm in this for the experience. |
