Hi,
I was wondering if this has ever been done here? i am willing to over see it and send a new block pattern to everyone every month or every 2 weeks or whatever we decide. What do you think? or a mystery quilt where I would send part of the pattern every month and it only has 6 parts so you would have your top done it 6 months. the block of the month would probably take a year of longer to get all the squares depending if we did it every month or 2 weeks. Any one interested in this?? I figure if we do have interest email and say what your choice is and how long you would like it to take and so forth. All I would need is everyone email that wants to do this and I could send the patterns off forum and then we could send pics to the forum when we get them done. Let me know what anyone thinks?? beverley

Beverly,
This sounds like an awesome idea! Please count me in. Im all for the year long one. I have kiddos so the less Ive got on top of me the better chance I have to concentrate on it. Whatever you decide is just wonderful.

I would love doing this with ya...so you are not saying swap, but just pattern for a different block each month? We could share by posting pics of ours as we get them done. I like this better than swapping a bunch of blocks.
I could do this! thanks for the idea!

Linda, thank you so much for noticing. I am so thankful to all who are praying for me- cause I feel great! I feel at peace with food, the way I am eating, and the journey ahead of me towards health.

Hi Beverley,

This is perfect for me and I've been working on crazy quilt blocks that are pieced together on tracing paper. So, can this be hand quilted? I can't sit up at the machine very long. Count me in too.

And, a big high and hug to Jess didn't know I had a farmgirl close to where I live.

So I think I will give it a week so everyone gets a chance to see the post and then I will start with the first one. I think once a month is good unless people start saying I want another, I want another!!! hehehehehehee They can be hand done, machine done however you would like them. Some are pieced pieces and some have some applique so they will be different. I think it will be fun!!! When we are all done we will have enough for a full size quilt to put it together and all have one but since everyone picks out different fabrics they will all look different. I will list how much fabrics you will need for the whole quilt first so everyone has time to look through their stash if you have one. Beverley

Beverley, Is this ok for someone who has never quilted? I embroider, sew, crochet, and have always wanted to quilt - this sounds like it might be a great way to get started. If you don't mind beginners I would like to participate. If it requires more experience that's ok too!

Hi Beverly,
I would love to be in on this also. I wouldn't care if it took a year. Twelve blocks make a great quilt.

For people who have not quilted just remember to use a 1/4 inch foot so that all seams are 1/4 inch. If you know how to sew then it should not be hard and we are all here to ask questions and if we have a month to finish them then we have time to help each other out. I always welcome people who want to learn something new!!!! all are welcome. beverley with an extra E

This sounds like it could be fun and not terribly demanding; I think I would like to give it a try.

Go to block of the month fabric needs and you will find out what and how much fabric you need to start this. figured that way it is the first thread so everyone can see it better. Beverley with an extra E

I'd love to be in on this one too. I just re-started quilting about a year ago, and I've really gotten into fabrics and playing with color. This will be great!

I was going to just put the blocks on the thread. But I got some emails that figured I was going to send them privately. Would people rather that I send it to everyone to their private email? I can do that too. Maybe if we are going to do this for a year maybe I should email everyone? What does everyone think? Beverley with an extra E
