I have not tried it but got a recipe this morning from the Williams and sonoma webb site that I think I will try. Here is the webb address. If it does not work just go to Williams-sonoma.com and do a recipe search for Brined Turkey with Fall Vegetables. It sounds wonderful but I think I will make up my own brine ingredients after reading the list of ingredients in theirs so I can leave out a couple things my family will not eat. Eileen
Jenny - thanks for reminding me about this technique. I've heard that it makes for the best turkey. I've always wanted to do it but forget about until I've already got the turkey in the oven.
Oh a brined turkey is AWESOME. Someone I know brines it in cider or some cheap wine for 24 hours, then smokes it. OMG talk about a delight in every bite! And moist!
