We were blessed with an old cider press for a very cheap price this summer and have just picked bunches of apples from a tree on the property my husband works on. Tonight we made some cider for the first time and YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! And it was definitely a fun time for the family. The kiddos loved the whole process (so did we!) and the chickens enjoyed the leftover pulp

YUM.... Sheila, we love fresh pressed cider. There is a grist Mill in our State that has been one of our favorite places to visit as they have a big cider fest over the Halloween weekend......

I have had a few tiny cravings for cider lately. When the weather decides to cool down. Cider is one thing I really love about the fall... having anice warmed cup of it yum!

You lucky ducky you! I'm so glad you have and are enjoying your very own cider press. I've got one on my wish list. Someday! Oh, the wonderful uses of cider!

Cider is amazing! It makes me think of crisp yellow, gold, red and orange leaves, a cool wind, the spicy smell of pumpkin pie, pumpkins and maize corn. MMM! I am really starting to "think Autumn!"
