My Grandma used to say I love you a bushelnpeck and she only said it to me, so I thought that would be something unique to me on this space...Debbie

I love willow trees especially when they hang down over the water of a creek or river. So I got Willow Tree Creek. I also named my business Willow Tree Creek Studios.

Julie,
Do you collect the Willow Tree figurines?
Mine came from the fact that I have a grandson named Levi. He's the first grandson though he has an older sister so is not the first grandchild. I use her name for other things.

Mine is from when I first used the internet, some 10 years ago. I like cats and I used to watch the show "Charmed" so it just smooshed it together. It really has nothing to do with my life now other that it is easy for me to remember. HA!!!

Hi, Frannie!

My name is also part of my email, BUT, the reason is because I have a nickname "Little Wing" but it comes from the song by Jimi Hendrix (and the Stevie Ray Vaughn version which is my absolute favourite)... I LOVE the song!!!

I named myself after my favorite character on the soap "Passions". Tabitha Lenox is played by the actress Juliet Mills...who I just adore!

deeredawn. We have John Deere's and my name is Dawn. Plus all my friends come to me for advice so they've (jokingly) called me "dear Dawn" forever. I just tailored it to fit my farm life! Plus, I like the way it sounds when you're starting to write something to me...

Well here goes...this may be long.

When I was separating from my ex about 5 years ago, I was going through an emotional fight to maintain my own identity. Throughout my marriage as throughout most of my life, I tried to be what was expected of me and not make waves by asking for too much. I guess it was at least in part due to going through menopause (mid life crisis maybe) I got to a place where I knew that the time had come to be who i am. I had started calling myself LunaLoca as a joke (Crazy Moon). A friend I had at that time called me Luna for short. Well, (are you still listening...it's coming!) about 3 years or so ago the artist Cristo had installed a huge environmental sculpture in Central Park in NYC called Gates. I went by myself to see it one early morning when there were no crowds. When I started walking through literally hundred possibly thousands of sunrise colored draped gates it was like a meditation experience similar to walking a labyrinthe but much huger and infinitely more profound for me. It felt like I was walking through to another dimension and i saw who I really was.And I knew it was good. I was literally transformed into Luna. My birth name is Miriam and it never fit me even as a child. Luna was free to be the creative natural soul that had always been pushed away and devalued. No more. I knew that I could achieve my dreams of a simple creative life. Everything else, literally fell into place after that. Boom Boom Boom. I met my love Alan, the sweetest man alive. We both want the same things out of life. We find and move to a farm, acquire sheep and here I am LunaTheFarmLady!

La Patite Ferme - is French for "The Little Farm". I thought of it when DD and sis and I visited France. Our 1/3 acre has most of the things you'll find on a farm - chicken coop, barn, sheep, fruit trees, vegie garden, cutting garden, etc, just smaller.

"Aunt Clemy's Farm Girl" in honor of my great-aunt who was a true Farm Girl for all her 92 years of living.

Aunt Clemy was the devoted wife of a dairy farmer and managed the farm, gardens, other animals as well as raising five children.

She was always leary of the modern appliances so in her roomy kithen stood both a wood burning stove and new model. Same for the washer and dryer with a square Magtag with wringer nearby.

If you went to see her without calling first, your head beams would pick up the image of a shotgun right on aim until you identified yoursef----quickly. But of course, come Sunday, she was there singing the praises in a little country church ---- and serving dinner to all that wanted to gather around her table.

I miss hearing her tell of the "old days" and handing out wisdom. She always said to us when we had a problem and asked for advice "Now child, do you want to hear only what you want me to say or do you want to hear what Aunt Clemy's is going to say out of love. It may hurt, but I can't spin a yarn when the truth can set you right".

Well- My real name is Alyssa, which I love. But most people pronounce it dead wrong! It's pronounced (Ah liss a). It's okay, I don't mind. But in High School I had a friend that just had some sort of mental block when it came to my name. She just couldn't seem to pronounce it quite right. It really bugged her so one day she decided to give me a nick name. So she started calling me "Alee". Ah pronounced it "Auh-lee". And of course about that time I started having nieces and nephews that were having a hard time pronouncing a 3 syllable name like Alyssa so they started calling me "Aunt Alee" which sounded like "Aunt Owie" lol! Now I answer just as quick if not quicker to Alee. It's a great test. Only friends or relatives ever call me "Alyssa" on the phone, so if someone calls asking to speak to "Alyssa" I am usually on guard and ready with a "Please take me off your calling list!" LOL

I think we did this once before but here goes.........I'm of primarily Scottish and Irish descent. My first trip to Scotland in 1996 was like coming home. We went back in 2000 and I still feel that way. I'll go again as many times as I can. In 2000 I needed to change my email address and changed it to Celticheart that year. It's been the same ever since.

Growing up I lived on a lane called Marblecreek. This is where all my childhood memories were made. I have one sister and three brothers and I am the oldest. We lived in a two bedroom house with no bathroom or running water. We hauled our water from a spring and we used an outhouse upon the hill. They were tough times. But we ran and played, climbed trees, rode bicycles, made mud pies and had "fun". I miss those days, But my dream is to get back to Marblecreek someday in my cabin.

So this is who I am.

I started calling my husband "Shrek" about 3 years ago. He's not a people person, but he loves his wife (moi) and is loyal to his country(USMC 18+ years)...And one night Scott (his real name) said to me "If I'm Shrek, then you're Fiona!". After that my blog came about, and I thought of a made up last name to go with Fiona. Once I got here I wanted something a little different so fionalovesshrek was born. And I DO love my Ogre!

I am a wildcrafter by trade and by heart. I have a spring and summer apprenticeship program where I take people to various ecosystems and teach them how to identify the plants, which ones are medicinal and/or food, what parts of the plant to harvest when, basically what they do, who they are, where they live and how to harvest sustainably.

Roses are red, Violets are blue; But they don't get around Like the dandelions do.
