Ugh! My yard is INFESTED with grasshoppers. How I wish I had chickens right now!

So without adding a predator to the mix (Like chickens)- Does anyone have any ideas?

Luckily they seem to be leaving my strawberry plants alone, but my pepper plants look like someone attacked them with a cheese grater!

They are really bad here right now too...I am worried about my pickling cukes...they seem to rest on them and every time I go to the garden they come jumping off...LOTS of them...ugh!!

Okay- I found a fantastic website! Check this out, and don't forget to click "home" and investigate the whole site as it is amazing! It has some great companion planting tips and I went to sleep last night planning my garden for next year!
