it is cooling down here and I am so very very grateful. Yep, hot days cool nights. Have to go turn the sprinkler off. Soaking everything so they plants stay vibrant. Here is hoping you are all tucked in bed and sleeping peacefully

I too can't sleep, it's 3:49 and I don't seem to be able to read any more tonight, so I'm hoping a few minutes of running my eyes over the posts will knock me out1

Right here with ya, girls. It's 3:51 EST and we've just had the loudest, brightest storm that I can remember. Woke me up like a shot from the bed and continued on booming and carrying on from abou 2:30 till now. Still some faint rumblings, but I'm SOOO over sleeping (or the tossing and turning)....now I'm hungry, too!

Jonni, we got that same storm, almost an inch of very needed rain. Seems quite a bit cooler this morning. We needed a break from the heat too.

Good morning Ladies! Hope ya'll finally got some sleep last night. Sleepless nights can be some of the most miserable.
Joni and Ada Mae~ Wasn't that some storm. Did you gals get all the wind too. We had some really nasty gusts of wind. Scares me something awful when the wind blows like that. I can handle thunder, lightening and rain, but the wind is something else.

Gosh, Ada and Melanie, that storm must have come up from the southeast, maybe? We did get rain (and hail) and those high winds. Lots of tree damage around the Ft. Mitchell area, where some of the oldest, grandest trees are.
It will cool off the next few days around here, so there ARE hidden blessings I guess :)

Thunderstorm here lastnight. Loud LOUD thunder and Lightening! Scared me.. our faithful furry animal sleeping on out bed however didn't even stir.. he's so different from our last dog who would have been huddling down under the covers! Expecting more tonight then letting up.. first rain we have had in a month! The Garden really needed it!
