ohhhhhhhh .. i jus' couldn't wait gurlfrenz .. was going to put this info with pictures of the dollies we will be makin in jo's class .. but i'm sooooo excited!

HEY GURLZ! I KNOW YOU HAVE GOT TO BE AS EXCITED AS I AM ABOUT OUR GURLFRENZ GATHERING. JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE DOLLIES THAT I WILL BE DEMONSTRATING TO YOU ON SUNDAY.
I HAVE COME UP WITH 4 DESIGNS FOR YOU TO CHOOSE FROM - A SANTA, A CROW IN HONOR OF ALL OF FRANNIE'S SUNFLOWERS, AN ANGEL IN HONOR OF ME AND AN ANNIE WITH WILD RED HAIR. WE'LL HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHO THAT WILL HONOR. ALL DOLLS MEASURE 20 INCHES, ARE PRE-SEWN, HEADS, HANDS, FEET AND BOOTS ARE ALL SCULPTED BY ME AHEAD OF TIME. FABRICS WILL VARY BECAUSE I AM USING OLD QUILTS. THE BODIES ARE THE OLD LONG SKINNY ANTIQUE SPOOLS (I HAVE A LOT OF THESE).
KITS INCLUDE:
SANTA: SPOOL, HEAD, MITTENS, BOOTS, BEARD, FABRIC
CROW: SPOOL, HEAD, FEET, HANDS, GLASSES, HAIR, HAT, FABRIC
ANNIE: SPOOL, HEAD, HANDS, FEET, HAIR, BOW, FABRIC
ANGEL: SPOOL, HEAD , HANDS, FEET, HAIR (WILL VARY), WINGS, HALO, FABRIC
SUPPLIES TO BRING: BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES SCISSORS, NEEDLES, THREAD (TAN OR BEIGE WORKS GREAT) 1 BOTTLE OF BEACON FABRI-TAC GLUE. THE ONLY THING NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR KIT IS LACES FOR COLLARS AND APRONS. I WILL HAVE SOME PRE-PACKAGED FOR SALE OR YOU CAN BRING SOME FROM YOUR STASH FROM HOME.

gurlz .. on Saturday, October 11 .. if you are joining us for our fun Kentucky Gurlfrenz Gathering (have gurlz comin' from several different states .. we're jus' "gathering" in KENTUCKY!) anyhoo .. be here at Freedom Valley Farm at 9:00 a.m. I hope to get us all outta' here by about 9:30 or 10 at the latest to head for Kathy (Sugarbuckets) .. we'll need about an hour to get there .. cuz' we'll stop to each pick up a 'to go' lunch for a picnic at Kathy's.
OH .. a few of the girls are going to meet us at Kathy's at about 11 a.m.-ISH! They are closer to her than they are to me.
Hope to get Kathy's Autumn Garland class started by 'about' NOON ... i think it will take an hour or two to complete. Then to Luna's by about 3 or 4 p.m. We'll hang out there until dusk/dark .. have dinner .. Luna has all kinds of wonderful things to share with us (including her wool felting class!) .. we plan to have a FIRE in the 'pit' to make S'Mores .. before heading back to Freedom Valley Farm for the night. OHHHHHHH .. i doubt that we will get too very much sleep that night!
SUNDAY morning ... up and at' em. maybe a walk in the woods .. t'would be fun to make breakfast in the 'firepit' too!! i will DEFINITELY be looking for 'volunteer cooks' who can get breakfast accomplished without it being a dark shade of BLACK! (that would be 'moi' cooking it!)
Then our two fun classes .. Twiggy Pumpkin Tree by Cyndi and DOLLS by Jo!
for LUNCH ... i'll lay in some 'sammies' .. fruit .. chips .. sodas .. and cookies (IF ya'll bring some!) or they will have to be store-boughten!
After our lunch and classes .. we'll have our 'until we meet again HUGS' for the gurlz that have to leave.
MONDAY .. i will be heading for Louisville to return a few of the gurlfrenz to the airport ... if you'd like to stay Sunday night .. you are surely welcome! IF we get out of the house in time .. we could make a fun 'stop' somewheres t'wixt here and there!
Tuesday morning, it's back up to Louisville for me for an endocrinolgist doc appointment for me and to pick up honey hunk from the airport (he'll be off having a Rugby buddies reunion in California during our gurly-gathering!) sooo .. i guess it is best to all head in each of our our home directions after the airport .. (or we can have dinner in Louisville after the girls get on the plane .. then all head home.)

oh gosh! got another e-mail ... if everyone comes that sez they are .. we are up to exactly FORTY gurlfrenz right now!
what fun this will be! and i'm jus' doin' the planning by the 'seat of my pants' .. i figger if we jus' plan some fun stuff .. and have 'somewhat' of a schedule .. we'll gather and have FUN! xo

HEY GURLZ .. robin reminded me that i better let ya'll know that ALL TIMES mentioned (and remember .. they are pretty much 'loose') will be on FAST (EASTERN) time .. we live in Central .. but will be travelling towards EASTERN .. sooooooooo .. we are using our EASTERN time clock on both Saturday and Sunday. I do believe most of you joining us live in EASTERN time .. soooooo .. don't even change those watches ..
Also .. jus' a little reminder to you kids who have never met me (on time .. cuz' i'm known as the LATE Mrs. Meshorer!) .. i take time VERY loosely in these Freedom YEARS .. HA! always have! we'll stick 'somewhat' close to the times i mentioned in my last e-mail to ya .. but remember .. LOOSEY GOOSEY could be my name too .. i live life VERY informally .. changing directions when i hear fun calling from down another road.
Mostly, gurlz jus' wanna' have FUN! we'll have lots of creativity .. but for some of the classes .. we might have to do a 'name drawing' from a basket .. depending on how many 'kits' there are. i do have Cyndi's TWENTY all signed up ... jo sez she can take all of you .. now .. you may not get your FIRST choice of type of doll ... i do have a list i'll print out .. if i 'miss you' .. luna can only make a limited amount of kits due to the expense of 'drop spindles' and such ... i think for her class .. we will 'draw names' from a basket .. the rest of us can watch and learn!
pleeeeeeeeeeeze be a loosey-goosey with me and be happy with whatever comes our way! ALL classes/projects will be fun .. i'm soooo looking forward to being together! xo

you can choose ONE to make during the class .. and i'm sure jo will have extra kits to sell if you want to make others!

hey miz karin .. let me know if you and your sis can stay a coupla' extra days .. i'd love to take you to see my 'town'! monday .. we do have to go to louiville to take a coupla' the gurlz to the airport .. but we can roam the area afterwards. sooooooooooo many great places to visit here! xo

Karin .. you kids are sure welcome to visit anytime! (hey .. a few of the gurlz are arriving on Friday .. i'll be bringing them back with me from Louisville (i've got a doc appointment that day and will be up there) ..
if you kids want to come Friday evening that would be great .. might be easier than driving so early saturday morning to get here! (you could perhaps come early .. and check out Greensburg .. and go knock on the CABIN doors ... Pat and Beau will be staying there on Friday night .. and ya'll could come spend the night here on Friday if that is more convenient for you. AND .. if arrive at the cabins before we do .. jus' come on in and make yourselves at home .. the door won't be locked. hmmmmmmmmm .. mayhaps i should send this message to everyone. that way .. we can all start the party goin' EARLY! jus' let me know if this is good for you! xo

Actually, we are heading up Friday. We were thinking about staying at a hotel, but if you don't mind us camping out, we'd love to!! We're making a stop at Mammoth Cave, and a few other places on the way up. When Dayna calls, all we talk about is how much fun we are going to have at yours! Honestly, you'd think we've never been anywhere at all, we're so excited!

hey ya-ya's. i got an e-mail from friend Jo this morning (i 'think' she usta' post here .. but i can't remember her forum name) . .but anyhoo .. she asked for special prayers for her pecious son who has cancer and it has turned aggresive. it is just awful for any mother to have to have a child who is so ill. PLEASE send prayers heavenward ..or in whichever direction you pray .. i believe that ALL roads lead to god!!! .. jo was wanting to come to our gathering and bring ten of her friends (she made it here when maryjane visited) ... but she will stay close to her dear son. i'll probably have a Spring Gathering .. and she hopes he will be better and will join us then.
t'otherwise .. we are still at about the 30 gurlfrenz mark at this point. with a handfull more that i still have to get back in contact with SOON! oh we shall have SUCH fun! xo

oh yeah! another gurlfren added to the list .. janet from eastern kentucky .. she came and stayed a couple nights with some of the other gurlfrenz when mj and family came to visit. hadn't heard from her in ever so long .. and out of the blue .. she e-mailed and said she'd love to join us. it will be so nice seeing her again.

ha! gurlfren .. i never look at the news or weather reports .. probably too soon to tell anyway .. i always say it is safe to 'layer' .. .if it doe turn COLD here .. i'll surely let everyone know. if it is FRIZZING .. we'll all snuggle somewheres on the cabin floors .. jus' like TEENAGERS!

Oh, I am so jealous of you'all gatheren!! Wish I could be in on the fun. I had people from Kentucky up my ancestoral line and someday I gonna git there Frannie and I'll stop in to see ya. Hope I meet ya at the farm fest next July tho.
