You're all way ahead of me. I have my fabric picked out, but have to wait until Labor Day to actually do anything with it! That's the day I've set aside for me to do what I want since it's a paid holiday from work!

The debit card was at the mail center where the girl rattled me so!!! They didn't even bother to call me- I just had to drop off another box and I asked about it!
Kathy - did the prepaid envelope get put in properly- the girl was so....dense!!! She couldn't get it right!

Blessings,

Autumn,
Glad you found your card. The envelope is fine.

This is a very busy time for me. The company decided that we all need our budgets in two months ahead this year. Well, me being a little lazy, for lack of better words, have not been keeping 100% eye on my accounts. Now I have to hassle to straighten things out and figure out how I can squeeze more money in to my budget so I don't over drew my numbers. One problem I have is that I was never privy to my original budget until 8/1. Hello! I’m not an accountant. I was just literally thrown into this position when they fired my boss. But I worked 2 and 1/2 hours extra last night and I'm very close to finishing.
So what does the building and grounds manager tell me this morning?? "Kath, we are going to need the roof on the south side repaired before winter. And the driveway and parking lots need to be sealed." Oh geez..let me just pull some money out of my "you-know-what" for that little project. Autumn can I borrow that debit card???
So this morning when the CFO comes in, oh about 10am, I will have to see what funds we have in the real estate account.

Question...the Post Office is part of the Federal Govt. right? So, think about it, that's our tax dollars at work. Its nice to know that we all support "dense" employees that have access to guns! Yikes! Lets all be nice and patience to our postal worker! I don't know what causes more pain: a trip to the dentist or a trip to the post office.

(I apoligize for my rude comments to any postal worker out there that is considerate and patient to us block swapping, returned postage requesting sisters. You must have been at lunch when last I visited the Post Office.)

....when my brain starts to fry...I start to rambel......I got to get to work!!!
Have a great day.

Well is Sunday evening here. I keep thinking its Saturday. I am glad to have the extra day off tomorrow. We are not doing anything special. A family cook out. My daughter will be working most of the day.
It is very busy for her now at Bed, Bath and Beyond this week. Lots of school and collage kids needing things.

I have been busy making some "BirthDay" mini aprons for another swap.
Happy Labor Day to all. I hope you all have a great day!

Ladies????how are we all doing??
we have three full weeks to finish our blocks.
I have been so busy at work and home that I have not had a chance to check on you all.
How is everyone doing since school has started. I have no school age children. But I need to leave 15 minutes earlier so I do not get stuck behind a school bus. It seems they stop at every driveway. I remember walking almost a mile to the bus stop.
So please tell me what happening with everyone. (oh and your blocks :-) too)

It rained rather hard today. My basement got a little wet. But I have learned to place things in large plastic boxes and on pallets.

I received Michelle’s blocks! They look cool!

As for the leaf: It was decided that if you want to put the leaf on, go ahead. If not, when we received our swapped out blocks we will put our own on. Ok? But it was requested that we sign our blocks. Even if it is just a sticker with a name. This way we will know whose blocks came for whom. But don’t worry if you did not do that, I have some tiny stickers that I will put names on those that may forget.

OH it is a hot one today. Real muggy out. My husband is working on the deck (still). He has all the top railings done. He is finishing up on the back gate. I hope, and this is big hope, that he will have time to spray the stain today before it gets to late. If not, maybe next Sunday..

It is our 4th wedding anniversary this Thursday. We are going to Cape May for three nights. Going to stay at a B&B. I can't wait. Also, August 29th was our first anniversary on the Kidney transplant. Jeff is out working on the deck. Goes to show you just how good he is doing. Must have been a great Kidney he got!

Well I am back from my mini Vacation.
Here is Cape May Shore.

It was a little breezy but nice.
Below is the B&B we stayed in. Captain Meys was its name.
This year we chose a third floor room. Not a good idea.
We are the top window on the left. Notice the slanted roof! I banged my head three times getting out of bed.

We took a trip to what I thought was a Historic Village. I was thinking it was like a working farm with animals and a black smith. I was wrong. It was a "village" of little shops.
Help! My husband does not want me to purchase anymore "crafy" items...

Cute pictures! Sorry to hear the quaint village was oh-so-shoppy. It's tough to make a go of things and keep financially sound, I imagine. But a touch of real old village would be nice, wouldn't it?

As a little girl I always wanted to live on a farm. Milk the cows and play with the pigs and chicken. And who didn't want to have horses? Beautiful animals. Well that never happened. We lived across the street from a milk farmer. Sometimes we would cross the street the pet the cows. Gosh I remember they were so big! One time when I was I think 6 or 7 years old I walked up to the barn. Now mind you I crossed the street and across the field. Boy can cows poop. I walked right in to the barn with the cows all hooked up to milking pumps. I was disappointed. I always thought the farmer sat on a stool and milked the cows himself. And speaking of the farmer, He was rather mad at me. He yelled at me for being in the barn. I told him I wanted to see him milk the cows. I think I started to cry. But I remember he took my hand and showed me the calves. All in little pens eating what looked like milky oatmeal. He told me next time I wanted to visit I needed to bring my mom or dad.
I told my mom what I did. She was of course very upset with me for crossing the street and walking in the cow field. And told me never to do that again unless I wanted my behind smacked but good. (When I was younger parents were allowed to smack a Childs behind.)

Not too long ago (12 years ago) I did for a few years rent a house from a couple that had horses and "clucks and ducks". Oh and a goat. It was so nice. The sky was so clear at night. No city lights to fade out the stars. And when there were no stars out, boy was it dark.
My daughter was 11 and would go horse back riding with the landlord. Some morning we would feed the horses and let the chickens and ducks out of the shed. Oh and pick eggs. (That was a little gross for me. I like my eggs from them white cartons at the super market. I didn’t know how dirty they were. I actually stopped eating them for a year.) Sometimes the chicken did not want to give up its eggs. And sometimes I would get a warm soft egg. It was an education I am glad me and my daughter had. I would do it again if I could.

So now I like to visit and daydream. I know that a real working farm must be hard work at times, but just living out in the country with the fresh air and relaxed living just sounds so nice.
