Please sign me up. :) This is just too adorable to miss. I'll need instructions sent to me. And a question...I'd love to have the squares signed. Is that asking too much? Then I'll enjoy it even more remembering just which farmgirl friend made each square.

We make a difference.

Michelle,
If you havent emailed me directly with your email address do so now and I will send you the directions.
Signing them would be nice or at least putting a label/tag on each one would be helpful to me when I have to sort them.

I made a pumpkin block and added it to the beginning of this thread. I also posted it on my blog.

Your pumpkin is sew cute! Do you have a pattern for the applique leaf too? Or shall I just wing it when the swap is done? Thanks for the pattern. Too fun!

Welcome to the swap futurefarmgirl!
We now have 14 swappers. We all need to make 14 blocks.

The leaf....
The leaf is optional. I do not have a pattern. Making the leave is each ones choice.

Mine are all cut and most pieced- I have to get it done before Friday- my hubby will be on vacation till the beginning of September. Before then I have a class to teach(basic patchwork) and a stress test and a colonoscopy- doesn't it sound fun????

All I really need is an attitude adjustment and my hormones- ran out and waiting for them to arrive in the mail!

Good to have a final count! I've got 5 done, and the rest are nearly there. This really is a cute pattern. I'll have to try sketching some different leaves and see what I like. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does. :)

So do we sign them or not?
If so where -I assume inconspicuously.
FG name or real name?
I'm just full of questions!

Ladies,
I love it when there is a lot of activity on my hosted swaps. Thank you all for joining in.
As for the head count...sign ups don't end until Sunday the 10th. So...we might have one or two more join. But maybe not.

I normally do my quilting/sewing while I am doing laundry. I am a weekend sewer. My fabric too is cut and ready to go. I have a few blocks made.

Autumn..."mail order hormones" I love it!! My husband was taking a few "mail order happy pill" a few months back. Now it is a dozen or so maintaince pill everyday. You have to make lite of these things or they can drive you crazy.

Signing your blocks. That would be a super idea!!!First it would be nice when you open your packages to know who made the blocks and second It will help me when it comes to swapping them out.
As for the name? I think because we all have cute farm girl names we should use those. Sign the back or in the seam allowance.
What does everyone else thing about that?

that is fine with me. i usually attach mine with a card or address label, i think michelle wants it on the front so she can see it after she gets her top together, so i was just going to do 1 up for her and put a tag on it with her name, so it would be easy for kathy when sorting....

Oh, you are so very very very sweet! Yes, I'd love to see names on the finished side. But if it is just too fussy, don't worry about it. I'm tickled pink, and will enjoy the blocks you make no matter what. :)

Ladies,
I already have one set of blocks coming in the mail! We are off to a fantastic start.
My blocks should be done this weekend too.
Remember, please only send me 13 blocks. Keep one for your self. And when you send me your blocks, please don't forget the self addressed envelope and return postage. Or at least the return postage, I have tons of envelopes.

Call me nuts but I am already thinking of a winter holiday block. (unless of course someone else wants to host a swap) I dont want to be known as the "block swap hog".

One other think. A good while ago I seen someone had a clothes pin swap. They dressed the clothes pins up in dresses and added faces. They were so cute.
Does anyone know if it is going to happen again. I actually went to the Dollar store and purchases some wooden clothes pins in hopes that a swap would start.

I hosted that clothespin swap a few times. Funny you bring it up now, you will see why in a week or so. I was thinking about doing a holiday..christmas/winter solstice one.

And if you want to host the block swaps, go for it. Clare did a few, now I think she has an awful lot on her plate, Sheryl has done some, now she is super busy with home repairs, Sunshine has done seeral, but now she is busy too, I did 2 and now my life seems to be flying around like crazy...really, you have done the last several and if you like hosting them, keep on doing it. I love you great ideas for us.

KAthy- Don't freak out if you find my debit card inside the quilt pkg!!!! I already have it cancelled ...it was a confusing transaction there. That's the last place I used it so it may have been tucked inside- I KNOW the clerk wouldn't have noticed- she was too busy being annoyed with me.
Let me know when they arrive.

Hhhhmmm, let's see...bank cards...I have...washed and dried one in such a way it was more like the Arc de Triomphe than a credit card! ...I lost one in my own home and had to cancel it and order another one (for $7!)...I recently lost one inside my van (another $7 for a new one)...one time several years ago, I left it on the counter at Target (red counter, red card, never even saw it lying there!) and someone got go on a super fun shopping spree! Thank goodness for VISA!

(Oh, and the one I lost inside my van in April! My daughter found and brought me 3 weeks ago!)
