I got my sisterhood packet today! I'm number 283! I am so excited and happy!!
I have no idea how I want to decorate my Henrietta badge yet but I'm sure it will come to me. I want to embroider it but I have never embroidered before...I think there is a merit badge about embroidery...I think I will learn how to do it.
Today I went to my local craft store and purchased some embroidery needles and embroidery floss in all different colors. I also went to the library and checked out loads of books on embroidery.
I know the packet arrived with a small tutorial on embroidering but I really want to learn and become good at it because it is a very beautiful and handy thing to know how to do.
Well, I am in a very good mood right now! All I need to get is a thimble. I am trying to find an old vintage sterling silver one on Ebay because the ones in the craft store don't seem to be made very well or of good quality metal. I don't know what size I am though...how difficult!
Chelsey-I read your blog and see that you're a knitter also! Are you on Ravelry? I'm dkelewae there also. If you go to the Gathered Up forum here, we're doing a KAL. Right now the project is a round dishcloth, but I'll be posting a new pattern for the next KAL soon.
