Awww, that's so sweet, Miss Wilma. Laura is one of those people you can't help but love her! I had sort of adopted her, too, as the sister I always wanted.

Hi girls, Yes, I was up before sunrise this morning, taking pictures like crazy...
will post lots on my blog when I get home....we are going junkin one more place before I head back up to the airpot with Janice and her hubby, Dave. He is so sweet and teases and makes me laugh good. To say I have had fun, doesn't even cover it.
Going for now, will write lots more later.....

I think that was Carol Sue posting above..
Boy did we have a great time & Laura is a sweetie. She had a tent set up next to my sis & I & one of us was snoring so loud that she got out of her tent to investigate! Thought it was a mean ol bear I guess. miss wilma & Sterl were trying to get us to stay inside, but we might have scared the whole house. Plus it was perfect outside, we slept under the apple trees & were awakened by the sounds of tons of songbirds. Then the PERFECT farm breakfast, featuring Sterl's HUGE biscuit!
miss wilma is the most generous, hard working woman out there, & she knows how to party too! She would go from runnung around to find something, & would stop right in the middle of us to cut a rug with the cloggin gals! There was something for everyone to do & we were all as happy as hens in a henhouse. There are pics to prove it too(some that should maybe not be shown)
My sis came along & was in heaven looking at all miss wilma's fabrics and goodies. Sunday after breakfast, I couldn't find her, well she comes pulling up in a pickup with Sterl; they had gone to chop down some corn, & were goin to feed the cows. I jumped in the truck too & we went & fed those sweeties. I thought of Aunt Jenny & Mona. My sis says she wants a cow now!
We would have loved to have stayed longer, but sis's little boy was missing her.
We had a nice drive home & listened to the Hatfield's CD. They were the best bluegrass group; man can that girl sing! Jonni, I THINK we could have fit in another person, but I could not even see out of the back window. Of course my last minute scarecrow addition did not help.
& hubby managed to take care of all my critters, so there is hope that I may get to go back.
THANK YOU miss wilma!! You are the best & we all love you! Sterl too!

Lisa and Miss Wilma you two are too sweet. Now you are making me start blubbering. I can't tell you how many times this weekend I got choked up because of how wonderful it all was. Lisa I can't thank you enough for getting me started with all these wonderful people. I have something going in the mail this week for you. I just have to get the pics to go with it. So be watching. Everyone needs to have a Lisa Marie and a Miss Wilma.

I have to say that I'm dead tired, but what a blast this past weekend was with the fellow farmgirls! :) It was great being relaxed and just enjoying each others company. Jonni's mom cracked us up when someone mentioned about stores open and she said "the only store open after 9PM and on Sundays is Miss Wilmas!" Donna also gave us a little history lesson on a certain feller that we thought was a lawyer or something. Wilma had a photo of him but couldn't figure out who he was. Come to find out it was a Senator out of Georgia.

I'm going through the photos right now and I didn't realize that I took over 400. I'll try to post up a few here later today.

More stories to await...for now I got to get back to work.

What a trip! I got home at 2 am after dropping Miss Kelly and Abby off in Chattanooga and Eva off in Carrollton, Ga.! To say my life has been enriched would be an understatement! Incredible women and good food... what more could I want? And the men folk sat quietly by and kept watch over us incase we got a little out of hand!
Miss Wilma, thank you again for opening up your home and family to all of us! Eva and I felt as if we had come home! Ok, now I'm tearing up! It meant the world to us and I am grateful.

Thanks Miss Wilma for making us feel so welcome and at home. You truly are a great and amazing lady. I will never forget the kindness and hospitality shown to us. I love it down there and enjoyed meeting everyone. I wish we could have stayed longer. I really enjoyed talking with you all and trying to make that pincushion. I haven't had a chance to upload those photos yet, but it looks like Jessie has the group one on here. Thanks again everyone and I hope to see you all again soon!

Lisa, that's pretty funny about the "mean ol bear". Sounds like the whole weekend was just wonderful and Miss Wilma really knows how to put on a gathering. She must must be totally pooped!

Laura, you are more than welcome. I knew you all would be a perfect fit and I'm glad you had such a wonderful time. You deserved it! Hey, what's this I hear you were talking about me? Are you telling everybody those goofy stories from court? So, whatcha sending? Never mind, I don't want to spoil the surprise. I'll be good and just wait ;)

Hey girls I am up and kicking this morning, Carol Sue has just left for the airport but every thing is so quiet now. I had the BEST BUNCH OF GIRLS here. Its been a long time since I have had that much fun. I think yesterday was better than Sat. we loved the scare crow and bird houses,Dana and daughter Ava well Ava would be everymothers dream for a daughter in law and that Dana is a live wire, so much fun in her.Beautiful Kelly and little Abby words just couldnt tell it,Lisa and Pam are two girls dear to my heart, Laney is just the sweetest girl in the world. And Joy, I had wanted to meet her for so long and what a treasure, Of course all of you know Jessie is just like my own I have loved her from a babe and always will. Now Jonnie was adopted a long time ago and Laura has been newly adopted, Now Laura I am not going to tell all these girls NOTHING not even if they hogtie me.It would take two pages to write all of it. Gabby spent the day with us and little Abby cried so hard when she had to leave. The girls brought me the nicest gifts and food was unbelievable, That Joy can cook, Dana brought several loaves of homemade bread but it didnt last long . Janice and David are the best friends we could ever have. Barb Jonnies mom is so special I just wish she lived close to me. Carol Sue has had a blast, and we have had one with her, Just in case she sends some of you a corncob please ask her what its for before you except it. We explained to her what they were used for and she said oweeeeeeeeeeee that would hurt if you had hemmoroids. All in all we had a wonderful time with all these girls and hope to have them back to see us again. I sincerely hope they enjoyed themselves as much as we did

Carol Sue and I dragged the BIG bag through the airport lobby doors and up to the counter, where we saw a sign that said anything over 50 pounds cost an extra fifty DOLLARS!!!!! :O We both heaved the BIG BAG(are you sure that Sterl wasn't in there????? have you seen him since we left???) onto the scale.....the numbers went up....the numbers went down...then back up...profuse sweating by me an Carol Sue....and the number stopped at.....49 pounds!!!!!!! ROFLOL!!! After several 'high fives', she took a pic for proof!

Glad to hear that everyone made it safe and sound. I think we are all going through withdraws!

But...here's a goodie....Burlington is just around the corner (19th). We should all gather there too. :)

Oh yeah...we need to figure out a little "name" for our little possum crew of farmgirls. Hmmm...put on your thinking caps.

Also...I've got photos to send folks, but I need email addresses. So send me a message. I have Dana's & Eva's, but I forgot to get everyone else's.

Back to the workweek grind....
