Hey gals. I was just now able to sneak off for a little bit of the great fun that we are having. Everyone is having a round of desserts right now. Today has been full of making all kinds of fun goodies, new friendships, and full of laughter. Tonight we were treated for several hours with a local bluegrass band that I have to say were topdogs in what they do. Miss Wilma kicked up her heels and cut a jig too.

I started to count the folks here and I got to over 50. We've had an excellent time with the kids and even a few hubbies. Kelly's daughter made the best mud pies!!

Plenty of fun and laughter and photos have been taken. We did pass the farmgirl apron around and we did have a group photo of the farmgirls.

The farthest traveled farmgirl would have to be Lainey's mother-in-law from Sweden. We've got folks from Washington, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, and all points in between. I've never had so much fun and I know that the others will be posting their adventures.

Oh...there goes the band...time to kick up our heels again!!!

Miss Wilma called me today music playing in the back ground and her dancing all around.... they are a having WAY to much fun over there. I am a little worried about Carol Sue as she hasn't personally checked in.... they say that they are keeping her.... HMMM, she may need to be rescued I am not sure... Although it sounds like they are feeding her, partying and having so much fun, she may be defecting....Some of us Washington girls are thinking we may have to go and kidnap her back...I want pictures that she is not tied to a pillow somewhere.....

Maybe they broke out the bottle of moonshine and Carol Sue got initiated to real hard liquor. I had a mason jar of it (does it come any other way?) for a long time and just the smell was enough to intoxicate me.
Still waiting for photos, but all of you must be having too much fun to think about all of us who aren't able to be there. THIS TIME....better get out the folding cots for the next one, cause it's gonna be a much bigger group.

Rene'...funny you mention pillows, tied up, CS...

Please note....No aprons or pillows or farmgirls were hurt in this incident....names have been removed to protect the innocent.

A farmgirl's work is never done. We were up and "at em" at 6AM this morning after not getting to bed til about 2AM. Then again, that was me being up that early as Uncle Sterl got a phone call. Right now he's cooking a big homemade breakfast with country ham, sausage, biscuit, yes just one BIG biscuit (will get a photo), eggs, and all kinds of other good country cooking fixins.

Lisa and her sister stayed in a tent out in the orchard with the sweet sounds of birds chirping. The others got to sleep down in the shop alongside Wilma's country goods. We had folks warm and snuggled in their beds each night.

Today will be a beautiful day finishing up projects and just relaxing. It's been a mini vacation for everyone and hopefully everyone has had a great time.

Carol Sue has slept in it looks like, but one of the farmgirls will be waking her up the good country way....cowbell. ;-) I know knowing Wilma she's been well fed and has been learning a lot about things here in Kentucky.

Well Sterl just announced that breakfast is ready...so I better get rolling. Another fun adventure awaits!

Well girls...I definitely missed a good time this weekend. Do you have a date set for another get together and I'll mark my calendar and tell the family no one can die?

Great smiling farmgirl photo! I recognize Miss Wilma, Janice, Jonni, Jess and LAURA! YOU CUT YOUR HAIR A LOT! You cut off more than half of it. My hair is longer than yours now :)

Very pretty apron, Miss Wilma. Laura, I'd like to see your apron better. All I can tell is that it's green and I think I can see a sheep and a cow.

How fun to see you all!

The girls are now outside making scarecrows, painting birdhouses, and finishing up projects from yesterday.

Miss Lisa...I got to tell you those cookies came yesterday morning and we've been eating on them all day. They are deeeeeeeeelicious!!! I also got a photo of Wilma in the apron. I will be sure to get a photo of Laura in her apron. She is a hoot to be around as well.

We did get the best surprise yesterday....the Queen Bee, Miss Mary Jane called Wilma while we were having fun.

I didn't realize until after I posted that photo above that the Custer family were not in there. They are so sweet. I think we bought them out of the home goodies.

Miss Abby (Kelly's daughter) got to help Sterl feed the cows this morning and that was just so great to see. She definitely is a cowgirl!

Well, I better get back outside. I wanted to run in and let ya'll know that we are have a grand time. I'll be leaving here in a couple of hours, but I will try to get photos up tonight or tomorrow of our adventures.

thanks for the update Jessica. Carol Sue will be sleeping for a month when she gets home, no time to sleep now! I'm sure all of you are enjoying every single minute.
How nice for Mary Jane to call, she's missing out too!
Back in his drinking days, the Possum would have had as much fun as the rest of you.
Enjoy that breakfast...I'll be thinking of it while I'm eating my oatmeal. Can't wait for a photo of The Biscuit. How nice to have a man who knows his way around the kitchen. My Daddy would make buckwheat hotcakes, that was about it for his cooking. I didn't even like buckwheat, but when he made them I ate every bite.

I'm so glad you all liked the cookies. Can hardly wait to see that apron on Miss Wilma. I hope she liked the fabric. I thought it had her name all over it!

I agree, Laura is a hoot! Now you can see why I miss her so much.

ditto on that scarecrow...he couldn't hold his moonshine! Glad to see some pictures!! I talked to Carol Sue about an hour ago and she's had and having such a good time....all the food that's been served is enough to talk about for the next month much less all the neat stuff they've been doing.

Hugs to y'all,

I see a baby bump on Jonni. Yippeee. No, I don't who everyone is, some have been in other photos and some not. I know Carol Sue, Jonni, Miss Wilma, Jessica, but need help with others.
Sure glad you had good weather for the meeting. All of us are jealous, you do know that! But, in a good way. Wish we could be there too.

Laura, aren't you glad you became a farm girl? I just knew you would have a great time and from the big smile on your face; it's pretty obvious. I'm so glad you had so much fun with everybody. I know they were just tickled to have you there.

So, get some sleep and tell us all about it tomorrow.

Love the scarecrows and that birdhouse with the horns on it. Those were fun.
