Rene'...I'm so glad people are talking about Wanda's book. She's a dear. My impression after reading it was that it really is a personal memoir about her childhood. Any ERA bits are subtle. I will have a chat with her and mention your interest. You can buy a copy of the book at Pat's Bookstore here in Rosalia, or contact www.writersbookpublishing.com . Or, I could lend you my copy. I'm not sure, but I think if you request a book (even if it is from a small publishing outfit) at one of the large booksellers they can get it for you. Good luck. :)

I will be back that direction next month for another meeting with the Palouse Scenic Byway committee (in preparation for our big farm Fair 09 - Buggie, barter and Boogie)and the book store owner there is on that committee I will tell her you sent me :)..........I love local authors so it will be a great investment. Right up my alley!

I am going to be there, w/my hat & apron on,,,and I will have a special MJF girl sister coming up to visit and attend this cool event,,,,but I am not telling who it is, yet,,,wink wink.... doing happy dance!

Come visit me!! I have a HUGE sofa that is so comfortable! If we push the back cushions off it is as big as a single bed! I would love to have you stay with me!!!

Rene gurlfren .. can you tell us a little more about what/when/where/what?
i want to come visit .. but more to visit maryjane and her farm .. and stay in her 'outpost' .. i want to hang near moscow .. cuz' we have olde friends from our 'denver days' that live there and we'll want to spend some time with them too. i'm sure hank will want to go white water rafting with his olde rugby buddies when we get there.
i would love to see a buncha' the farmgirls too ... july 4th is our anniversary .. mayhaps if maryjane has a tent available at that time for hank and me .. i can tack a few extra days and we could spend a couple nights there, a couple night with friends, and come to buggie, barter and boogie too.
i think i'll tell him that's what i want for my anniversary present next year! xo

We are still in the planning stages, but because of the sheer numbers of gals we aren't planning to host the "farmFair" directly at the farm this year we are actually planning a "buggie ride" down the Palouse. MaryJane has some Exciting news (to come) out of Couer d alene ID ~ So Friday night we will have a little something there (and most gals will want to plan on staying in Couer d alene for the weekend) this will become more clear later.....as to why....Saturday we are working on setting up a "heap of fun" on the Palouse ( the small towns between Couerd alene and Moscow including the Ole Mill in Oakesdale, WA. where Miss Wilma will get a chance to show us all her "moves".. to the stylings of some big band music (different thread)...Then back to Couerd alene.... Sunday we will have a laid back day on the beaches of Lake Couerd alene ~ we are working on getting blocks of rooms and camping sites etc for the Couerdlene area and we will get that info out ASAP.
Another little hint~ you all might want to find some long strands of pearls at your nearest second hand store and start creating some "flapper" outfits.............I "hear a roar"..............

Rene I am in big trouble now, I will have to rub down with Ben Gay for a weeek before I get there, This is getting better all the time I done got my shoes I think, I know one old man here that could teach me some flapper dancing but his knees are worse than mine, but you can bet I will try to learn
