So what happens when you combine a bunch of crafty, apron wearing farm girls together for an afternoon? You get a crazy silly gab fest with a little stitching in between! lol!
Oh my what a fun afternoon at the MaryJane's Farm Store in Coeur D'Alene, ID.
We attended a "Mini Memory Quilt" class put on by 2 of MaryJane's talented staff ladies, Renee & Rebekka who with out a doubt are talented, crafty, funny and a joy to be around.
Oh, and I will never ever be able to look at a Thanksgiving Turkey again without giggling thanx to Julia!!!! Think "Heutterite", think turkey, think road kill & supper...and you have the makings for a story that will no doubt cause you to piddle in your panties from laughing so hard....
What a great afternoon we had and we were not the least bit shy to greet shoppers & invite them over to see what mischief we were up to!
Renee & Rebekka, you both are just too awesome. The class was terrific and I look forward to your upcoming classes.
Whether you are a "Type-A' or laid back crafty lady you will love these classes. It isn't about the finished product (which we didn't finish because we gabbed way to much!) but rather the camaraderie, friendship and laughter and we had all three not to mention coffee & pastries...

Sew cute! You had better include a picture of your finished art piece! I'm trying to plan a trip to the store to get some of that photo transfer stuff or the courage to try some butcher-paper transfer and do up a memory art piece featuring my own memories. Wish I had brought my camera too.
There was a sample, for those of you who missed the class, of one done featuring the Shirley Temple Band. The wonderful part of it was that MJ's mother was a memeber. So soft and sweet in pink, with delicate laces and bias tape framing the black and white photo transfers. A real treasure and tribute to a special lady and time in her life.

Oh Grace, that looks like such fun! I'm looking forward to the crochet rug class in May! And girl, you better teach us how to do that crochet wine sweater - too cute! Hope to see you soon! Judy

I just sort of 'created' my own pattern for the Wine Sweater....I am thinking about adding some beads to the ruffled edge.
I need to run back over to town(Spo) to buy some more cotton crochet thread/yarn.
I actually got the idea will crocheting wash rags and thought,,,,hmmmmmmmmmmmm! what if????
Miss you my dear, what's up in your world besides taxes & price of wine! lol!
Are you going to the May 1 get together at Brenda's?
