Jessica,
I so hope you come, plane, train or buggy!

Katmom... I've got you and hucklberrywine on my "list" and will be contacting you... Hmmm...Hurding cats!!! The expression I grew up on was "roping cats".. But I think Hurding sounds somewhat easier....Whatever the Kat expression I may need to enlist all the KAT help available...

I am always ready for farmgirl fun and the more farmgirl the better!

Koolamondo!, We have 5 acres, so we can have a "MaryJane Camp Settlement" and no one(neighbors) will fuss.
Only 3 requirements of any guests.... 1.bring your own Martini/wine glass, 2.you have to pet all the kitties, 3.if ya see a stray weed ya have to pull it... lol!
I am looking forward to next July.(insert happy dance).

Grace, you are too funny. I like your rules. :) I can just see a whole caravan of skirt-wearin', frilly boot dancin', martini glass filling, kitty loving, excited farmgirl giggling, living life fully happy gals coming for a great time. I'll have to put the heat on and get my place ready. No neighbors, wildflowers, (please don't pull the weeds, unless it's a Dalmation Toadflax grr), ponderosa pines for shady parking, horse parking (must pet fuzzy noses), kind of remote camping style with wildlife trails, etc. I'll have to post a picture as the time approaches so y'all can see if it fits what you're up for. :)

Thanks Rene' for getting a list together for the gals to have options. That is so thoughtful! C'mon over for a great time!

We make a difference.

well, personally I think dancing is "subjective", there isnt any "bad dancing" just.. less skilled :), besides there will be no dancing "judges" just us farmgals, dusting off our boots and "unleashing our inner wilds"......I will have to find the old Seinfield show where "Elaine" is dancing.. Now if that is the standard we will all pass with flying colors :)

This sounds amazing! I'm assuming the event is in Idaho...please correct me if I'm wrong. I always take a trip to Idaho for the 4th of July week to visit my grandparents! I love it there!! This sounds really fun!

OH, good point Chelsey/lacisne88! I assumed the event will be at MaryJane's Flour Mill in Oakesdale, but maybe I'm mistaken? Oakesdale is close to the Washington/Idaho border, and super close to Rosalia (whee!). Only about 1/2 hour south of Spokane on 195. About 2 hrs. north of Moscow. Bet your grandparents would love to come and boot skoot!

We make a difference.

Sounds like the party is getting better and better! I love the idea of trailer camping/sine tasting/bootscooting! We can all do the 'Elaine'! Ha! That's right at my skill level!

I guess I'll have to find my dream trailer before next July.....

Will there be camping? or a hotel? or girls to put us up? I have a truck driver friend that drive through to Salt Lake and he would bring me out and pick me up coming back. I would have no traveling fees but food. He's a great friend, he delivers package to farmgirls along the way. I just found out he occasionally goes through Billings-Alee- Hummmm...

I don't have to ferment all my juice. :) I make a real nice huckleberry pie too. (Thinking of wine and coffee) anyone else curious to try the recipe for dandelion coffee MaryJane put in the Outpost book? Coincidentally I was reading another book by a neighbor of mine, "Don't Cry Over Spilt Milk" by Wanda Sheahan and she mentioned dandelion coffee. We just had a good soaker rain, might be a good time to go collect roots, dry 'em up and give it a try.
Thinking of more "camp" options, there are RV spaces in the park here in Rosalia (shade, grass, quiet). I think they even have full hook ups. Really nice bonus.

We make a difference.

Michelle,
I cannot believe you just mentioned that book.. talk about perfect timing. I was in Colfax today visiting with the writer (Jana) for the paper there... promoting the 2009 Buggies, Barter and Boogie... and she mentioned the book but couldn't remember the ladies name....TADA!!!! Now, were can I get a copy? Maybe you could make a "plug" for me to come visit with her... as our theme is about the ERA around the 20, 30, and 40's and it sounds like her book is as well... Is that right? Anyway, I love it when this stuff happens...
