I absolutely hate filing. I end up with piles of mail and catalogs and magazines and interesting junk mail all over the kitchen before I'll break down and put them all away or toss them.

Cleaning...sorry to say it but I just never have it all done at once so it's always in stages of clean from the pretty darned clean to the "oh, no! close that door, someone's coming down the driveway!"

UNLOADING THE DISHWASHER!!!!! Which I hate. I don't mind loading it and running it, but DH has only one "mandatory" chore and that is to unload the bugger. Grrrr....

I'm jumping on the book work wagon too! I just got all the May receipts entered today, and it was dull as dishwater :p Tomorrow I'll tackle June..

Sorting mail, book work for the cleaning service, putting away clutter, dusting, folding socks.....
This week I'm doing really good so far, knock on wood.

Doing the dishes! I have never had a love for washing dishes. ( I hate to agree with Melanie too, sorting and folding socks have never been a favorite either. Hubby and I trade. if I do socks he put the rest of thelaundry away)

I'm with Jami - I get things so they are almost to the point of all the way clean, then my husband comes home from out of town and dumps his stuff in the mudroom, or my son cleans his room and fills the laundry room. I try to keep the important stuff clean - bathroom and kitchen, and the living room, you know the stuff that shows, but the rest of it is an uphill battle

Well, as of recently....life and getting on with it. I just didn't have any direction and felt a little lost and sad about things but I am starting to kick myself in the old backside and just get on with it already. I made a list of 2 major things and 3 minor things I want to accomplish by Summer 2009 and I am organizing my life to make those goals happen. The rest was all tossed out the window. If it is not purposeful to my greater cause, it is being passed on to someone else or just into the world for whomever or whatever can use it, whether materially, physically, mentally, emotionally.

SAMANTHA .. i don't even have a DISHWASHER .. have had them most of my life .. but RARELY ever used them! I don't even like the 'loading' part! Spent six weeks at my daughter's house recently .. and bought them a dish strainer/rack .. and i never mind hand-washing, air-drying and putting them away. That way .. the pile never gets to be too big!

Girls, we are in haying season around here. I am vacuuming 4+ times a week and there are still hay particles especially in the bedroom where DH changes from work (outside) clothes to anything else and the bathroom floor and throw rugs are always scattered with bits of hay. I get so darned tired of it, I just feel like I want to give up! He can't help it...he shakes off and tries to get it off outside before he comes in but the stuff is in his ears and hair, etc. We have put up about 100 tons of hay so far and he hand stacked it all...for my sheep and our horses...so I keep quiet or I might have a mutiny on my hands!! Then with the windows open this time of year so much and the wind blowing...the house needs dusting every single dadgum day...I just don't have the patience for it but I trudge along at it and try to make friends with it until we have a love/hate relationship and it has to go!

Just venting...I'm a lucky girl and I know it. Just like a clean house and feel like I'm swimming upstream on it most of the time.

You know Frannie...I was a hand washer until about a year ago when we bought the cabin. It really came in handy when Addy was a newborn, with all the bottles and nipples, but now?? I don't know...I told DH that I am thinking about just taking it out! I miss getting to watch the world out my kitchen window! Now, if he agrees or not we'll see!

My housework and knitting has been on the back burner lately because I'm in the process of working on a rehab house we bought to fix up and resell(Hubby & I own our own investment/rental property business, and I'm also a licensed real estate agent). Thank goodness it should be done tomorrow so I can get it on the market next week. How sad that the rehab house is sparkling clean and my house is a wreck!

Sewing and handwork, haven't done any in ages. Just trying to keep up with the housework. Sad to say that even though I swept, mopped, cleaned out two refrigerators and did up all the dishes from that. (there were a lot and no dishwasher)I am still not caught up. Yesterday was spent getting the laundry caught up,again, and cleaning my room. One of my major problems is that I can never seem to get completely done. Though I cleaned my room I did not get finished and it is just left that way. It happens a lot in other areas too. Not enough hours in the day I guess. Still have to hit the grocery store today. I hate that job and I always put it off way to long.
