honey hunk, lucas and i had a fun 'canoe' ride on the green river yesterday .. then stopped in town to say a coupla' 'howdies' to the gurlz i could find .. then back home for some runnin' around barefoot at the farm .. and in the evening, brad and cindy simmons' arrived with their two boys for a couple days and nights. we all stayed up late talking while the boys played games .. we put up lucas' TENT in my teensie TV/crafting room ... i slept on the floor outside the doorway (it has no door). wasn't long before lucas crawled out of the tent and snuggled up next to me on a pile of pillows. i adore that little guy in case ya'll haven't picked up on that fact yet! up bright and early .. boys fed and gettin' dressed .. and we are all heading for KENTUCKY DOWN UNDER in a few minutes.

jus' wanted to do a quick good morning to ya'll ... have a FUN day!

xo, frannie

boys are such fun.. I have 5.. the other day I was canning tomatillo salsa. I had half the box of tomatillo's in the sink- washing- dehusking.. there was a huge box still on the floor. The 3 youngest- 2,4, and 8 all sat down and started pulling the husks off of the tomatillos.. I gave them a bowl to put them in and showered them with praise while I worked on my batch. That kept them busy for an hour! I couldn't believe that even the 2 year old stayed focused and worked hard. :-)

Blessings, Debra

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

Sounds like the perfect summer. My 11 year old and his cousins go to Grandmas a couple times a year together.. they have names it "gramma camp"... one of thier finest treasures.

I love boys too...I have 5 of my own..only 2 still at home...12 and 11 now. But I am a cubscout leader for the 10 year old boys group so I get to have 6 more boys..I love it. Girls are fun too...but boys do the stuff I like better..haha

Isn't Kentucky Down Under a hoot! Took my oldest boy there several years ago. Last summer we hit Mammoth Cave but couldn't get hubby to take in KDU. :( We have kin in the Mt. Vernon area and just got back from a visit last week. Still, couldn't get my boys out of the house away from cable tv! Oh, they did get out for a bit of target shooting in the gravel pit.... I love my boys and their boy stuff but sometimes I have to just break out for a bit of "pink". Right now I'm working on making a little pink rose pinafore for a friends little girl who I know will be adorable in it! Making a hat to match and even a little swingy purse. She's very in to the girly girl stuff and I'm glad to have the outlet.

I am grateful. I have enough.
