I adore SIX almost SEVEN. Lucas is such a fun little travelling buddy! He is so inquisitive .. still at the 'un-embarressed' hugging stage .. holds my hand and will unashamedly go into the ladies room (i won't let him go into a men's room alone!)
he is full of questions and observations .. eager to learn .. and i SWEAR .. i know i'm his grammie .. but it almost makes you cry to look at him .. he is so incredibly handsome ... he has the bigget blue eyes and a moppish head full of sunny blonde hair!
robert redford and brad pitt are the closest i can imagine him looking like as an adult. and i don't know about ya'll .. but they make my heart go thumpity-thump (ESPECIALLY Robert Redford!)
oh he will be a little heart-breaker for sure .. i'm sure he will be kind and gentle and caring because that his what he sees at home .. but there will be so many little ladies who will adore him!
they WILL have to be approved of by lucas' "GA" though! they too, will have to be kind and sweet and caring.
i am so very thankful and grateful for these wonderful years with Lucas. xo

Oh, you know I had to peak at this thread topic! So fun to hear about your little Lucas and I must say my hubby Lucas is absolutely, in my opinion, in the Robert Redford/Brad Pitt category! Very accurate.

I have a Lucas too... I adore him as well...
Frannie... I can just see the way your eyes light up when your grandchild are in your presence and I cannot even express what a HUGE gift that is for them.. they are as blessed as you feel you are.

thanks sweeties .. and yes meggie .. your lucas surely is a handsome honey hunk!! i'll post some photos of lucas and his little princess sisters when i get back home .. how is that precious little stella jane .. now she will also be one of those 'heart-breakers'!! would love to see some photos of her!!
renee, how old is your lucas? isn't that a wonderful name. he and i were talking about 'nicknames' today. (he asked me what HIS nickname is). i told him that his school buddies will probably give it to him someday .. and it might be LUC (i always say it with a 'slight' french accent).
his sisters, sofia and iszabel ... i can't decide when i write stories about them .. if they will be called: FIA and BELLE (whicdh is what sofia calls herself and her sister) ... or Fifi and Izzie .. it probably depends on what the stories will be about. of course, there will be a Prince Luco in the story (sofia's second way of saying his name .. at first she called him Mmmmm-BA (her way of saying: My Brother). it's more My Brudler now).
ohhhhh .. i want to hear more stories about YOUR children and your grandchildren, nieces and nephews or just loved little ones in your life! xo

Frannie I have 4 boys - Thomas 21, Lucas 20, Cole 17, and Matthew 11
My Lucas' middle name is Russell.. so his nick name was/is Rusty
He is a rescue swimmer for the coast guard and a medic... as well as a brilliant singer/songwriter....I am going to try to post his picture.. we will see if I get it right...

An absolute blessing! I thank God every day for them.. they make me rich.....and are by far my greatest joy!
I do have to confess ;I cannot wait for the daughter-in-laws to come and the granddaughters.....I can clearly see little "dolls" in my future. A very special lady that I call MOM recently passed down to me a beautiful brass bed.. and I am so excited to convert one of the bedrooms into a wonderfully frilly guest room (I am committed to making some of those pettycoats from the up and coming July magazine) to hang in there.. Along with all things Maryjane farmgirl ( and have been eyeballing some of the bedding the farm has ( the yellow one mostly)..... Just waiting for some unexpecting gal to show up :).......My boys are so afraid!!!! and probably rightly so :)

He is a heartbreaker already from your discription, (he sounds so adorable) And he is very lucky to you have as his gramdma. I can just see your eyes lighting up as you talk about him.

Oh, I was just saying to Mom, look at what a catch Rene's Luc is and in the coast guard too (one of my brothers is a drop master in Kodiak, we got to visit him last month!)...and then I kept scrolling down this thread. You are so sweet. If they pick 'em just like their Mom, you are going to have four fabulous daughter-in-laws some day!
Ps. Frannie, Stella Jane is loving summer at the farm and she is in that adorable hug and kiss stage. She even has the puckered lips and Mmmmm sound down. NannyJane and Grandpa are just eating her up.

I know that my boys will pick great gals...( I have my eye on a couple just in case:)... 2 weekends ago I got to go see Lucas and his ship mates in Astoria and watch him "do his thing" jumping out of helicptors and all that scarry stuff..I cannot even begin to explain the pride....
Well while I am bragging on my boys:
This is my oldest.. Thomas He is in the Marine corp
and these are the younges - Cole 17 and Matthew 11

I can only imagine what a "perfect" childhood Stella Jane will have with all the memories of the farm.... My boys all still love wheat harvest, and tend to find thier way to a tractor one way or another .....those great summer on the farm experiences tend to get deep in the blood and never leave.

Wow, handsome lads everywhere! I'm so thrilled to see pictures Rene! thank you, They will make great catches, everyone of them. And Frannie, your Lucas sounds like a dreamboat. I love them at that age too, so eager to see and learn and still so sweet. Meg, I was half dying from the heat outside when I met your man at the ren faire, but I remember that he was a handsome one, and Stella is a living doll! I am betting that NannyJane and Granpa are loving every little kiss and hug.

Geez! DH wanted to make sure you all knew that the boys got/get thier cute factor from HIM... (oh brother)....He was feeling a little left out of the "cute" discussion.. Be greatful for a little girl Meg... there is WAY to much boy germs at my house ( even the dog)...

Oh, I am laughing until I am crying!! Kay, I read your post too fast and when you said he is nice to boot I read it as HE HAS A NICE BUTT TOO! Oh, too funny. I mean, I sure think so and I would love it if you did too! Oh, how silly I am. And you are so sweet. I do absolutely adore my Lucas, his niceness and his butt too!
Rene, you can tell where your boys get it...a little of this and that from both of you for sure, sorry hubby doesn't get all the credit! It's a beautiful picture of you both.
