I just found, or maybe that is refound the MaryJane Magazine. I had seen it before amidst my travels. We have a small bookstore and only during my travels and visit to bigger bookstores have I seen the magazine. It's very exciting. I can't wait to subscribe to the magazine and get to know folks here.

I don't have a farm, but I have a roof and can't wait to start planting it. Yes, I'm in an earth house and planning fruit bushes, trees and veggies for the property is very exciting.

Roof planting--how interesting that sounds, and challenging. Much success wished your way.

Welcome to the farm Laurie,
Yes, I have to agree with the other girls, it will be very interesting to hear about your earth house and its roof planting. Do you do mostly grasses and flowers? I have seen a couple of them done on PBS. It truly was interesting.
Glad you are here.

Because I'm on the edge of the high desert and water is scarce, I hope to not use a lot of grass and use native Xeric plants. A little water is ok, but even the builder suggested not using a lot. No sense chancing any getting down to the roof foundation. I'm hoping for paths and a few benches mingled in. I've been told I can see the fireworks from town on the roof and can't wait to test that in a few weeks. thanks for the welcome. Laurie

It's never too late to be what you might have been.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
