Just got back from St George Utah (Dixie), and gas ranged from 3.98 to 4.33 per gallon. At Enterprise, the Sinclair station was getting a new load of gas. They had been at 4.09 and are now at 4.29 per gallon... up 20 cents a gallon.

Laura, where is your son in the Tri-Cities, WA? That is where I live--in Pasco. Have since 1978. Never lived so long in one place in my life.
Gas at Costco was $4.089 when I filled up on Thursday, 6/19. It is ridiculous and no one is helping us out. Top that one off, the gov. is cutting medicare by 11%. I don't know what us old folks are going to do.
I filled up again on June 26 and it was $4.139/gal. It's ridiculous. Costco is cheapest and I have to get out of the house once in a while. Spent another almost $100 inside the store.

It cost me approximately $245 for diesel for the truck hauling my stuff from Boise to Walla Walla this weekend. It's only a five hour drive. My little Kia cost me about $60 there and back. Yucky. In Walla Walla, the gas was about $4.35/gallon, and ten minutes away, in Milton Freewater, OR, the gas was $4.09.

Bonjour gal pals! Hold onto your bagels, berets and baguettes, 'cause over here in Europe I do believe the sky is the limit! Since we live near the border of Spain, we go into Spain once a month and fill up since their taxes are lower than in France. Last week it cost 85 Euros for the Volvo, or the equivalent of $130 to fill-er-up! Nearly $9 per gallon. When we left Norfolk, VA in late May, it was about $3.55 or so. Something's gotta give soon. Happy Monday everybody! |

I live in south central Kentucky in a small town called Greensburg. It is $3.95 here. I was in Hodgenville earlier today and at the small station across from Lincoln's Farm it was $3.89. I was going to stop, but there was 2 long lines of cars waiting in line.

$4.19 around here...as high as $4.39 up north. I can get fuel from Kroger though, for $3.95...don't know why.
I filled up on Thursday night at $3.88 at Kroger, while everywhere else was $4.00. Then, on Saturday, everyone else jumped up to $4.19. Guess because of the holiday--how nice of them!!!

It was 4.02 on Friday in Fernley Nevada. I would love to see under $4 again! though I am thankful that we don't drive nearly as much as others do.

Nancy, have you witnessed any of the truckers that are demonstrating because of the high prices of diesel in France?

Bonjour, Betty, and all the rest of you gals. The first "Operation Escargot" was in Paris, and after experiencing how narrow some of those Parisian streets are, that must have been one major traffic jam. We were coming back from Spain a few days ago, and when we hit the border to pay the toll we found ourselves in the midst of a bunch of truckers, who all started blasting their horns in protest. To say "I hear ya loud and clear" is an understatement, ha! Hugs to all, Nance |

Noticed a number of gas stations here at $4.29 on Friday. Now my husband heard that economists are predicting $5. by January and up tp $7. a gallon by 2010. I don't understand why the news people jump right out there and put these ideas in everyone's head. I have noticed as soon as the news suggests it, poof it hits that mark. Sometimes I think the oil companies figure hey they are expecting the price rise anyway so why not just do it.

Mary Jane, I think you are exactly right about the news media controlling the gas prices. I think we should gag the news people!!!!

I'm with you on that one, Miss Wilma!! I really don't like watching the news anyway, but lately it's downright depressing. All they talk about is rising gas and food prices!

It just dropped to $3.89 here this morning. Pretty sad when we now get all thrilled when gas drops below $4 a gallon.
