Hey Farm Girls! Here's a kitchen tip you don't want to miss.
I bought Dawn Direct Foam for dish washing yesterday. It's the best thing since the Magic Eraser. You wet your sponge, use one pump of Dawn on the sponge, and wash away. If you wet the sponge and have it ready for everyone after dinner they can do their own plate, cup and silver in less than a minute. I use a sponge that's rough on one side. My daughter washed a stainless steel fry pan that I'd cooked bacon in. It took less than 10 seconds. One pump did a sink of dishes, cups, silver, two small pans and the frypan. One bottle has 250 pumps.
I've been thinking about not replacing the dishwasher when it dies some day. I'm sure I won't now. It's faster to wash the dishes this way than it is to load and unload the washer. It will save considerably on the electric bill. My dishwasher is a full sized portable. When it's gone I gain a lot space. I'm almost tempted to give it away now.

No. You can use any sponge or dish cloth.

My sister is the "queen of convenience" and loves this stuff! If it is new and claims it will cut down on the time spent on the task at hand, it's in her kitchen. Oddly enough, I got to tell her about the Magic Eraser first- she didn't believe it would work! A bit ironic, eh? |

I love regular Dawn. If it is strong enough, yet gentle enough, to clean crude oil off ducks caught in oil spills, it can't all bad.
Does this new version have the same grease cutting power?
Did you know you can apply a tiny dot of Dawn to a pimple before bed and it will usually be dried up in the morning without any collateral damage to the rest of your skin. I keep a bottle of it in the laundry room too - for pretreating oily stains.
