As of May 12, the end of the billing cycle, we won't have the land line or the internet at our house anymore. we figured that it's well enough just to go into town to use the free wi-fi at the coffee place we like once or twice a week.

Gosh, Tash, hope you'll stay in touch - and maybe recruite somenew farmgirls at the w-fi cafe? Let us know how you do, and if you start to miss having a home internet connection.

Good for you Tasha! I wish that we could do that here, but we use the phone line for business, so we keep it and it leads to not business use, but I think you will enjoy one less thing to bother you and one less household cost. I think avoiding the phone and net would give me so much more time for other more important things ...
See ya around,

Sometimes simplifying means having to do without some things that may have been easier to keep. Good for you for making tings simpler and cheaper.
