I'm jumping in to join you girls...hope you don't mind. I've been really watching what I eat now for 2 weeks and have managed to lose 4lbs. Now I just need to some incentive to get moving and add some exercise.

Awesome job!
Welcome Donna!
I have had to put my running/jogging on hold for a while until my legs heal. My shin splints have been getting worse, not better and it really demotivates me.
However, I did get the bike trailer fixed up, bike and trailer tires aired up and Nora has a helmet. So we are going to go for bike rides instead. Poor Sky seems much more tired after a bike ride :) She has to work harder too. Oh did I mention pulling the bike adds about another 50lbs of resistance to my bike? I did something similar with one of my nieces one summer and lost 20lbs. I am hoping to have great results again!!

Hi Everyone, I went for my morning walk with the dog. I'm up to 1/2 mile so far which I'm happy with because for the last two years I've had two knee surgeries and could barely make it to the mail box. I hope by the end of summer I can walk up to 1.5 miles at a time. As Jamie Lee Curtis says, "eat less, move more". Keep it up!! Tina

Iwas 3 # down this morning from last week.. alot of it is 1) drinking more water, 2)spending more time in the garden and 3) riding my bike to work (1.4 miles)...

Oh, oh, I forgot to post my results last week from WW and it's almost time to go again. I did well last week - lost 4.6 pounds, but I'm struggling this week. My dh is gone out of state (helping son move his shop to St. Marie's) and I have a tendency to want to snack when I'm home alone. I'd better be good today and tomorrow or it'll be bad news..........!

Sherri! That is awesome!! I am going to be doing Yoga today too! My back started trying to go out last night and with lots of stretches and some tylenol I was able to sleep, but I need to get those muscles straightened out and strengthened in the next two weeks as I can't have my back out during moving!
I am still stuck at only about 2 lbs lost. My scale is hard to read. However, my bum is much tighter and DH says he can see changes in my body. I know my muscle mass was very low so I am hoping that my lack of weight loss is simply me gaining muscle in exercise. People always say muscle is heavier than fat and burns more calories even at rest, so bring on the muscle!! I am hoping to see this plateau disappear this week. Hopefully by Monday I will have good losses to report. I am also going to measure myself today *ugh* so I will have that to show improvement with as well.
Speaking of which...time for NAMASTE!!!

OH MY GOSH!
I got about 75% of the way through one of my recorded Namaste Yoga programs and had to stop. I am going to save this one for when I am a bit more fit. There was a lot of balancing on one leg sideways and then dipping- I couldn't do it! And then I started getting dizzy and my heart was pounding. Wow. I really need to work on my balance! This is NOT GOOD! I knew I needed to get into shape, but somedays you get a wake up call!
At one point not all that long ago, I would have been able to do the whole routine. I am not ready to let gravity win!

I got out and took Nora for a bike ride today. Few! Had to stop because of the hills. I hate to admit how out of shape I am. This afternoon we did another ride. Had a few moments where I was feeling tired and wanted to stop but pushed on and we did 2.5 miles (my normal run) I must say, once you get the bike trailer going it is much easier, but I couldn't ride too fast because the dog is out of shape too. I hope to increase speed, increase resistance and increase distance a bit each day. I feel good about the bike, my shins and ankles aren't hurting. Perhaps this is my path to weight loss and I can start running again once I am closer to a healthy weight.
My back is killing me today and my time of the month started today. I know water and exercise is supposed to help- I am really hoping it is so!

I bought a few clothes last night with the proceeds from the garage sale. The full length mirror in the dressing room renewed my determination lose weight! Yikes!

I bought a pretty black dress with a white pattern on it- hard to describe pattern. It hits mild calf with structure around the waist, this straps and a swag across the chest area. I got 3 skirts- one white with white emobroidery, one white with a ruffle like MaryJane's No Frill Frilly Apron on it (LOVE IT!) and a Heather blue one with eyelet embroidery. I also got a night gown with a ruffle and lace that is very satiny and pretty. I also got a pair of jeans that flattens the tummy area and a new pair of work out pants. Also a couple of bras. I spent just under $100 and I love it all! I think I can take everything in as I lose weight as well!
