Hey, gals! I'm Hawaiian - really! Okay, and I'm Irish and a buncha other things, but the "traditional" muu muu's are a "Victorian Nightshirt" style gown - usually with a high mandarin-type neck and tucks around the yoke - front and back, and the back has a deep center pleat, as well as a front opening placket with tuxedo buttons (I forget what they're called). They really ARE quite lovely - and not quite the touristy hibuscus-printed housedresses that ya' see around!
XOXO, Libbie

Yes, Libbie. The other ones look more like what we used to call a house dress when I was growing up.

Wow - Muu Muu's - haven't heard that word in a long time! Back when I was growing up in California, muu muu's were kinda the standard fare in casual wear. I remember having a couple when I was just 5! That also reminded me of "zorries" or as everyone calls them today, "flip-flops". Clam-digger's are now capri's...

We used to call them "pedal pushers"....now called capris The term came from the length of pants that would not get caught in the bike spokes when you pushed the pedal. Anyone wear them?

I do, Linda...and that's what my gran called them! Such a nice memory--in fact, every mother's day, we'd get gran a new pair of pedal pushers that she wanted from, believe it or not, Sears. Until she got so darn small that we had to start shopping in the kids department for her "capris".
I love them!!!
