Remember the chicks that I got earlier this spring? And the untimely demise of three of them? Well, I have been busy this week building the new chicken house. Right now, Flora will be the only hen in residence, but soon I will have more chicks to join her. Since I did not get to complete the Name the Chicks giveaway, I have decided to make it a Name the Chicken House giveaway instead! So, pop on over to my blog and leave a name in a comment. I will draw on Friday, April 25th. So don't dawdle!!
Karin Congratulations to Bramble!! Flora's chicken house will now be called The Omelet Hotel! My thanks to everyone who played along!

What a lovely chicken coop! I am so excited to see it painted and cute, I have plans for mine too with paint and red trim and who know what else right now. I will have to think of a name but I love the one you had in french. How did you get that wonderful Mary Jane Farmgirl link on your blog? Flora is a great chicken name too. I have been making a list of biddie names for mine but haven't names any yet until they grow a bit. Have a great day! Morgen

Wow! I have a list of wonderful names for the chicken house!! It is almost completed. :) Still have to make the dividers for the nest boxes and tile the floor, put the door on the pop-hole and finish the fence. Hopefully by Saturday. Flora will be able to move in! I will be posting the little treat to be given to the winning name later today. There is still time to enter a name. New pictures are up if you need inspiration!
I am just having too much fun with this project. I wonder if I can use it for a Sisterhood badge? I'm off to check that out!

That's the fanciest chicken house I've ever seen. Wallpaper? I think it's the "Best little chicken house in Georgia". Add a one-holer and it would be the best little outhouse. You suppose the chickens will be impressed with all the work you've done and go outside to poop? How fun! |

LOL, Ronna! I don't think I will be so lucky. I still have to tile the floor (just with leftover vinyl tile we have) and lay down a washing machine overflow pan. Then I will fill it with straw and they will have a portable potty so to speak. :) This chicken house building is exhausting!

That is such a pretty chicken house! Just gorgeous - that Flora is one lucky chick. I'll have to have a think about hanging some wallpaper in the palais :)
