where would it be? do you prefer the seaside, riverside, forests, mountain tops, valleys, plains .. hot .. cold .. warm .. cool climates?

what 'state' or 'country' would you live in if it were possible?

I like the mountains. If I could live right here in this little old run down house for the rest of my life here in the middle of Utah near the mountains in this tiny town an hour and 1/2 away from a city I would be as happy as a clam. I prefer spring and fall weather for sure..but love each season. I would never want to live anywhere that was really really hot all the time. I do like the dry heat here better than the humidity of when we lived in Minnesota years ago. I did love it there too though.

I'd live right where I am right now........ I'd never want to be somewhere too warm, I want a winter snowfall with all the stars at my finger tips, the sight of a beluga whale coming up the inlet, a lynx out my back door, the absence of box stores and greed. I want to grow old with my husband and a lab or two, maybe when I'm REALLY old, I'll have a dachsund.

I would love to visit many states, and maybe stay awhile, but I would want to live in Washington. Everything is here---sorry. Snow-covered mountains (which I love) Pacific Ocean, deserts, lakes, many rivers, cities and towns and tiny hamlets. MB

any place that is more secluded.... wouldn't mind some place in the woods--winter or summer, (snow or heat don't bother me)...or would also love being near the water in a tropical location, (with a boat of course) but off by itself. i would just enjoy a very lay-back lifestyle. i do know that i would not do well in a city with a lot of hustle and bustle.....it's fun sometimes to visit, but after a few days----send me home!

Lol Zan she is the queen of fun interesting questions!!! I love where I live, though I like more sun and warm weather. I also would like semi-country so I could have a mini farm. Funny to say I can't imagine living anywhere else!?!! How interesting, I am quite content :D

I would like to live in the Northwest, but the only thing that would maybe bother me is all the rain. It is a gorgeous area with very nice people. I think I would like the life style out there. I wouldn't want to be too remote....near enough to a city....like Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington. I like the change of the seasons...not anywhere too warm. I love the lush green environments!

I love where we live now, but, the Adirondacks are so dear to my heart. Jo, don't wait to be old, have a dachshund now!! They are the most fun and loveable dogs. They would get along great with labs, mine did!!

The beach- hot, sandy, tanks and shorts and flip flops and one fantastic hammock between two big palm trees. I loved Corpus Christi when we went down there..I feel in love immediatley!!! And, it may not be so much of a dream for me...it may be coming true within the next 2 years or so.

Cheers,
Heather

I love where I am. I think that's one of the things that binds my husband and I together - we're both from this area and we have such a deep love for the land, the trees, the ponds and (yes) even the swamps. Not only is our history here but the history of so many others before us.

I feel like this land is in my "bones".

I love where I am as well. I've lived here pretty much all my life and my family has been here for generations. I live in a rural area in east central Kentucky. It's still considered the Bluegrass region, but I can see the foothill mountains of eastern Kentucky. I'm pretty much a country girl but I did live for a short while in Stockholm. Now that's another beautiful place and although a pretty big city there are quite a bit of green areas there, not too mention all that water. I agree with country lawyer, I think the New England states would be a great area to live in, esp. Vermont and Maine.

i'm lovin' learning more about you gurlfrenz. ha! that's what the 'question game' is all about! when i meet new people (like on ship tours) .. at dinnertime .. i ALWAYS ask 'a question'. i find that people tend to 'let their hair down' when they can tell a story.

i LOVE living in the woods at this time in my life .. but i gotta' tell ya' .. i ADORED living in an exciting CITY LIFE when i was younger. we still love to venture to 'the city' from time to time for all it has to offer. xo

I have to agree with Marybeth. Washington does have it all and I live on the dry side of the state in wheat farming country. Very rural but close to mountains, rivers and lakes, lot of rolling hills. Trees...I need trees.

I would have to say the Big Island of Hawai'i. I have friends that live there and visited a couple of years ago...it was absolutely beautiful and the perfect climate for peacocks! I never knew that I would have peacocks looking in at me when I woke up in the morning, it was great! Plus, I can NEVER imagine living somewhere that I couldn't reach the Pacific Ocean in less than a days drive. =)

I LOVE Santa Ynez/Solvang here in CA. It is just north of Santa Barbara. It has soft rolling hills and it is so quaint. Oh, and the bakeries!!!! My oldest sister lives there to!

I love the 'Find your Spot' site. According to it, I am destined to reside in Virgina some day.

Outside the US, I would take an old chateau in France.... :)
