Oh Frannie...I am SO BAD. I didn't like this movie at all...mostly because I read the book it was LOOSELY based on. We rented the movie expecting a wonderful movie night and were sorely disappointed. The movie doesn't follow the story line or characters in the least.

I know you love to read...and I HIGHLY recommend the original story, "A Prayer for Owen Meany" (one of my ALL TIME favorites). Every member of our household has read it and loves it!

Sorry fer "harshin'yer buzz". LOL

rhonda .. i did notice in the 'credits' that it was based on the book. sometimes i try to separate a movie from the book and enjoy each for what it is.

i'm getting jane austen's pride and prejudice to read .. i surely did love both versions of the movie. sometimes i think it is best to see a movie FIRST .. then read the book.

i think a really good read can disappoint us in a movie .. and a good movie can improve a poorly written book.

i'll have to get the book! xo
