Girls, Burlington will be a pure hoot of a time and we have Berea next month too. Kentucky is always full of hidden treasures and hot spots that you can't find in some travel guide.

Hey There!
Well the potentially good news is that I may be moving to Chicago earlier than planned!
My daughter graduates High School in June and is planning on moving to Seattle and spending the summer with my ex husband before going off to college!
What that means is that I can move to Chicago as early as this July! Man alive, does that give me butterflies or what!?
I'll keep you posted but it's looking like we could get together this summer instead of next spring! WooHoo!

Thank you mis Frannie...I haven't had time the last couple of days (more like a week) to update it with a picture or two of my house and fields. I will before the end of the week as my FarmGirl Blog entry.

Luna - yep so far our gathering this weekend and then next month is so far so good. I cannot wait until Burlington. There looks like there will be a lot of us gathering up there. Never a dull moment when you are around good company. :)

Linda - I'm originally from Southeast KY and have been pretty much everywhere in eastern Kentucky. I can tell you some wonderful places to visit, see, do, and lodging, whether it is hotel or bed & breakfast. I have yet met a bad place and have met only the friendliest folks. Definitely keep us up to date on your plans and hope you can make a visit to KY soon!

Miz Wilma I just looked at that B&B and it does look like a great place. What a good idea to have a the antique storea and b&b combined. I may have to borrow that idea too. Wow. Can't wait to see what else you cook up. Looking good!

Oh boy...so many things have happened since I left work! Miss Wilma, I too can't wait to visit the places you've mentioned. Up this way, we'll be sure to visit a few wonderful farms (and of course, Rabbit Hash General Store for a sasparilla when we're parched from our travels!!!)

Jessica, you are right...from what I've seen so far here...I have met the most wonderful people since I've been here and there is just one beautiful or interesting spot after another. And Ms Wilma, I do get such a kick out of the culture of the real folks here and love learning about how they developed. I can't wait to see how this trip develops...I am definitely in.

Hi Girls!
I was out running around all day yesterday kicking up work for myself. My, it appears I missed a few things!
Luna thank you for the lovely encouragement. It was so timely for me. Funny how you handle things when your dreams start to come true. I have a tendancy to question everything and dig my heels in a bit. I think it's just fear.
I gotta tell you that part of my fear has been moving to a new place and having to start all over again.
It has meant a lot to me to know that if I get lobely, I can take off for a few days and shoot down to KY. where you all are or go to Minnesota where my best friend is!
Even my boyfriend suggested that if I "unclenched my fist" all would fall into a rhythm and go much more smoothly. Interesting that Luna said the same thing but in different words. When I hear something 3 times, I always know I'm being given a message.
Jessica, thank you for the lovely offer of places to go and things to see. I think after my initial trip, I'll be coming back often to explore!

Hey Linder...there are about 6 of us that I'm familiar with in Kentucky..there are some new farmgirls down near Greensburg that have signed on as well.

Jessica, Janice, Wilma, Lainey and Frannie are nearest to me, and I'm in the Northern part of the state, just south of Cincinnati.

Since most of us signed on in the last year or so, the "getting together" is newish. But we've got 2 coming up :)

Oh boy, I don't have a date yet of when I can come!
It's all a little subjective at this point with all my job things up in the air.
Pray that I get another couple of clients and then I can freelance until I move. Can you hanfg in there with me for a bit until more is revealed?
If not, go ahead and make a plan and I'll try to fit into it.
