I'm cleaning out my dad's house since he passed away and have found all sorts of treasures one being vintage sewing patterns. Most are infant and children's patterns from the early 60's. The price on the patterns are 40 - 60 cents.
Does anyone know if the patterns are worth anything or should I just recycle them?

Donna, I'm so sorry your father passed. I know going through a house of a loved one that is gone is tough. hope you are holding up ok. i see a lot of these kind of patterns for sale on ebay! Are they uncut? that means something to the value. also, some of my old patterns, even the cut ones, have sold at my garage sales. I was surprised. so i think they are definitely worth something. I say try to Sell them. cheers, karen

I have quite a few sewing patterns from the 40's, 50's, 60's on up to the 80's. I need to go through them and weed out what I don't want. That may take me one whole day! lol

Tammy,If you find any 40's or 50's dress or apron patterns you don't want I'd be interested in buying them from you. I'm looking specifically for some shirtwaist dress patterns with full skirts. Faith

Today I am going to go through my patterns. I will try to post some of the pattern pics on my blog before friday. I have someone else interested too. Hopefully I can get some of them out of my craft room since I never really use them (I'm more of a yarn girl! lol)

Thank you Denise:) The hardest part was cutting up all those bags! lol After I made the "plarn" ball, the rest was easy. Lining it was time consuming too, but easier than I thought it would be. I like it too. Now I have tons of bags to cut up since everyone who has seen it has been saving bags for me lol. You have a cool blog too - I love the birthday pics!

I don't think I know what a "plarn" ball is. Do you mean you cut up plastic bags to make that? BTW, I'd be interested in any patterns you have, Tammy. D~~
