"Recycled all of February and it is ongoing. The whole family participates. Everyone at work participates, too.

"I work in a public library so having a library card is a done deal!
I am the tech services librarian, so I do all of the cataloging of all of the items in the library. This is all books, magazines, audio books, movies, jigsaw puzzles, Library of Things, etc.
My TBR list is in a special notebook on my desk at work. Since I see the newest items first, I write down the ones I want to read. The list is long! I also have a TBR pile at home. I have completed 2 books from the pile already."

"I have collected more than six reusable shopping bags. I actually already had a lot, but I weeded out the worn yucky ones. We do use them when shopping and we save paper bags from stores, too.
It works just fine. My husband is glad I weeded out the yucky bags and sent them on to For Days for recycling."

"I do check the packaging of things to try to get recyclable or reusable packaging. I did find that Some of allergy nasal sprays are now packaged in paper. Hooray! No more needing a jackhammer to open them!
I am always looking for ways to clean without poisoning my family.
I use baking soda and vinegar. I also like Auntie Anne's cleaning liquid which is a little stronger, but works great. All products I use must be cruelty free, too. I like Clean People for the laundry and Blueland for the washing machine."

"I have been sewing since I was a little girl. I am always sewing on a quilt. I always have a cross stitch piece going, too.
I did make a simple small quilt.
I help out teaching patrons at the library when we have sewing class. I help my daughter with her quilt when she gets stuck.
This was a little awkward as I know how to quilt and will happily teach anyone the basics. My sister lives 3000 miles away and I talk her through binding a quilt all the time."

"This was therapeutic. Lids and bottoms match now and live in one small cabinet.
We now have 2 sets of containers. One is all glass and the lids attach so they are stored together and the other set is plastic, but the lids attach easily to the bottoms when not in use. All of them fit in the little cabinet above the stove. Neatly."

"I worked on 3 postcards on watercolor paper with colored pencils. One is a collage using paper and tulle.
All 3 came out nice! One postcard was mailed out to an elementary class in Pennsylvania looking for postcards from all over the US. The other two are here on my desk as prototypes for more cards I want to design."

"I have been doing cross-stitch since 1974. I recently taught a young lady how to cross-stitch at the library where I work.
I taught my daughter how to cross-stitch.
I have classes to adults and kids, as well.
I have three counted cross-stitch projects going. They are very detailed and will take time to get done. One is big and has beading in it. It features a forest fairy sitting on a mushroom and talking to a mouse. I need to find a way to keep my dogs from knocking my beads. :) It is on linen. I just need to finish the beaded areas.
One is Christmas ornaments and one is a huge Halloween piece that is on black Aida cloth, 18ct.
My smallest active piece in process is a bicycle in front of a building."

"I checked all the taps and am pleased to say, NO LEAKS.
We do not run the water while brushing teeth or scrubbing a face. The shower heats up fairly quickly so everyone gets in fast and no one lingers - there's no heat in the bathroom!
We have always implemented water saving measures as my husband and I are both originally from New Mexico and water conservation is ingrained. Here in New England, most people get it, some don't. We are actively taking out grass and replacing it with clover and other sustainable crops. Right now there is snow and ice, but we are already discussing which section is next. We are on a well, so we are always thinking about protecting our water supply. "

"My son moved out so I made over his room as my letter writing and paper crafting space.
I was able to get my stickers, stamps, papers and note cards all organized and use the desk he left, too. I even bought a cool looking CD player for the room.
My postage stamps are all together in a special folder."

"I read the book "To the Letter: A Celebration of the Lost Art of Letter Writing by Simon Garfield.
I mailed Valentines to all of my penpals in the US (2) and 2 in England, 1 in Norway, 1 in Sweden, and 1 in Belgium.
The book was interesting and gave a good history of letter writing.
One of my penpals suffers from seasonal affective disorder so I make sure to write to her monthly to keep her spirits up.
I write very regularly to all of my penpals. Some have health concerns and need some happy mail."

"For the expert Origami badge I decided to focus on the design I have enjoyed the most, Pandora’s Box. I made boxes from different papers and in different sizes. I also taught family members how to make the box.
I learned that there is a limit to how small you make the box and that larger boxes need stronger paper. You can make this box with different faces showing too. Teaching others how to make the box was comical. It’s intricate and finding the right words to explain what needed to be done was challenging. I ended up doing a lot of “showing” along with words."

"I had very limited understanding of how to crochet to start with. With help from my sister in law I learned the stitches needed to create granny squares and created a few. Then she gifted me a crochet cactus book and I made the first project.
Crocheting is fun and relatively easy to pick up. The granny squares remind me of legos because you can put them together to make things. I am excited to try a bigger project. The cactus is so cute and now all my kids want one. That’s a good problem to have."

"I continued on my exercise journey. I even completed my triathlon at the end of January. I also competed in my first rowing competition. I didn’t win either of them, but I am now totally hooked to triathlon life.
