Frannie,
That was really something. I had Richard come see it. You did a great job on the Bunnies and on their send off. Love it.

thanks so much, rebekka mae and nancy jo.
the little bunnies have really brought alot of joy and fun into my life.
there are plans here now to add a kitty line, and a goat line and who knows what.
i love making the accessories, and the clothes.
today i had a wild "HARE" and thought maybe i should get an angora rabbit. i have my goats, and their fiber can be combined with other fiber, and now i know i like needle felting, even if i never become a spinner, (which i havent given up on)
the little bunny could be house trained and live in my craft room (when hubby is at home!)
for over ten years our farm was like a sanctuary for dumped and desserted kitties, and i loved my kitties, we never lost any and i was able to adopt them out, but in the last couple of years it has been harder to find reasonable spay/neuter programs, the last kitty cost us 200.00 to fix and that was thru the spca. hurricaine katrina, which you know, caused a big problem in the world of animal rescue.
suddenly, this fall we started loosing kitties right and left. i suspiciously thought my dh might be behind this. on our income, he had started complaining about the cat food bill. sometimes we might be feeding up to 40 cats, and then kittens that were abandoned and had special issues with bottle feeding.
anyway, after years of wonderful service we realized the cosmo the wonder dog,

had joined the wonderful world of the senior citizen.
she did not get a mailing from aarp, but she just wasnt keeping the coyotes at bay and now we have 1 lone survivor, nada.
nada is a post menopause kitty and her birthin days are behind her, i have promised dh that we will take a break from the rescue of the kittys although we both know that when the spring comes the kittys will probably follow.
at any rate, i have felt that i am on some kinda weird bunny journey, and i think olivia and deven would love a little bunny and learning about the fiber and how to spin.
so nancy jo, your little number 1 bunny has played a huge role in starting another phase in the farm, .....along with pamela and christy and susan and everyone else who has followed the story of these little bunnys.
we just dont always know where these trails will take us....but thanks for comin along with me ...
and happy trails to you!

love

thanks pamela,
i have gotten too attached to the bunnies, but even my dh got into the action and wanted to take a pic of them.
your little bunny was so funny, when i took them outside to take pics of them, i didnt notice until i printed the pics that she had put her arm around nancy jos bunny. even though she can be a little bossy, she has a great heart and is a little sweetie.

well, it has been hard, but the hard part is that olivia thinks they are all her's. so i have made her one. that has made it easier.
i am working on christys, and susans, and then there may be a break.
i have been asked to make cats by one of my friends who is gonna sell them for me on her web page and at cat shows.
i also would like to have a drawing for one here at the mj site, cause i have had lots of inquiries from younger farmgirls with kids who dont have it in their budget to buy one.
what do you and pamela and christy and susan think about that?
of course you would be able to participate in the drawing as well, but i just think it might be fun for a farmgirl who wants one but doesnt have the budget right now for one to get one?
i have never done a drawing before but if i get enough interest i will do it.
please let me know when your little bunnies arrive home.

thanks, christy, it all helps here at the farm!
i really appreciate folks that purchase my crafts, cause i get to do more. ....but it is the way i bring extra money into the farm.
my dh who believes in me and my crafts, and that i want to be at home, brings home about 800. every 2 weeks, and that is what we live on. sooo, it really helps when folks support my crafting.
and it makes my heart feel good to know that there really are folks who buy american....or as i like to say, Shop mom and pop!
anyway, susan.....its your turn":
do you want a girl bunny or a boy?
what color bunny would you like, and what color scheme for his/her clothing?
also i will be quizzin you about any kind of hobbies, likes/dislikes , really anything you can tell me to personalize your bunny. stay tuned!

frannie .. what a dear story and set of photos for the 'bunny send-off'.

i used to think it would be fun to offer a 'vacation' at our Crooked Tree Hollow home in maryland for someone's dolly or stuffed animal .. i would have them in all kinds of settings with a 'journal' of their adventures. never did pull that idea together .. but i think it would have been fun!

oh do make a little 'journal' or 'book' of your bunny adventures and stories!!! xoxo

frannie, i have been thinking of making a little journal of the bunnies, but as YOU know there is never enough time.
girl, if we lived close to each other, i think our imaginations would have a FESTIVAL and we would never sleep!
i wish you would write a book about your life, frannie, i love reading about your life in washington and now your life in kentucky,
you are such an inspiration to so many of us here at this site.
i hope you realize that.....Really

I didn't know Kentucky Frannie lived in Washington...poor me!
YOu two Frannies are the best!
I really do think if you either one of you wrote bunny or dollie books kids would love them. So would we adults *U*
If you even just printed off what was in your blogs with a few more details and made a homemade book- those are great!
I make them and have them bound for my kids. easy peasy. Specially for two wonder minds like you!

dalyn,
this is something that has been rattlin around in my head for quite a while, but it hasnt settled down enough for me to explore it.
i think frannie from kentucky would have a great book about her life. when i say washington, i mean dc. she has posted recently about working in washington,dc. for robert kennedy. i find her post very intersting.
i would love to know more about the process of binding the books and making them for your children. i will get in touch with you and see how i might teach myself to do this. all the books i make here are just homemade, little journals, etc.
i posted some of them a long time ago on my scrap craft thread.
i do want to make some books about the bunnies.
thanks for sharing, your kids are sure lucky!

oh pam, we love it her at the farm, pics of the bonnybunnie#2!
..and now she has a name. petunia. perfect.
let me tell you, she really had a problem her being called bunnie number 2. "there is nothing second about me" ,she would scold.
i guess she had to arrive first so she could say she is number one at something.
nancy jo's little bonnybunnie was sent on the same day, but her personality is so different from "petunia's". she is very methodical and a little helper. she should arrive soon, but she probably found some poor soul along the way that she had to help out!
i showed the pics to little olivia and she wanted to send a little
her way.
now i am busy making bunny 3 and bunny 4 for christy and susan.
yesterday, pawpaw, uh dh took me out for the day to sherman, texas. the closest sizeable town from the farm. it is about 25 miles away.
we went to our usual "haunts" the goodwill, or aka the fabric store for me. i always try to make my crafts with recycled things which i reconstruct. what i am looking for is wool, wool/blends which i can
"felt". it is amazing to me how uncommon natural fibres are becoming.
in the men's sweater section for example, which was quite large i did not find 1 natural fibre. dh and i had to laugh because one of the labels actually said "100% pure virgin acrylic".
anywho, with a lot of effort i did get to find some wonderful "fabric" that i can deconstruct wash, and felt and use to make bunnies.....and now cats! and who knows what else!
i also look for beautiful cottons for the clothing.
...and thanks to miss petunia's bossi.....uh, direction i have learned to needle felt, so i can use roving from my own goats to make other garments.
pamela, thanks so much for sharing the pics with us. we all loved it here and in particular olivia was very enchanted to see pics of her little friend on the computer, all the way from Kentucky! she was amazed. please keep us posted on her new life there, who knows she may end up with her own thread, or blog!
love, from texas!

weeelllll, i can only speak for myself.
i have always said, "i aint afraid of crazy, its greedy and mean that scares me!" and i'm stickin to that....and of course, there is good crazy and bad crazy and i must confess at 57 years old i have experienced both....well, okay, i live in the world of good crazy, but i have had my moments of bad crazy....but as i say, i'd rather be crazy than mean and greedy.
