I'm trying to decide whether I should add this quilt to the line of things I sell. It's gotten a good response here, so I'm taking an informal poll to see whether I should make some of these to add to my line. My crib quilts sell for $60 and this is quite a bit larger so I'd sell it for $80. What do you think - would it be worthwhile to make some of these up or no? Thanks for your opinions ladies!!
This quilt is one I made for us - it is 51" x 60" - what I call "snuggle size". It is not big enough for a bed, but just right for snuggling on the couch. This is about the biggest size I can machine quilt on my machine. It too is backed with fleece, so it's really warm and snuggly.
Of course, this is my style - primitive country, and you could make one in any style, according to the fabric. Just let me know when you're ready. I'll be here, permanently attached to my sewing machine!!

Heather - it washes really well - because it's machine stitched. The top is all cotton, the stars are machine appliqued, and I serge all the squares together so they're durable. If I made another one, the fabrics wouldn't be exactly the same because I made this one out of my scraps, so I'd have to use a few different fabrics, in the same genre of course. We also have 2 dogs, who sleep on it on the back of the couch everyday, so I wash it about every 2 weeks. No sign of wear yet! Price? I would have to figure out the cost of materials - that's what I go by but I'm going to say about $80 because my crib quilts are $60 and this is bigger.

Beautiful Sherri. It looks like one that another farmgirl had on their blog. Can you tell me the name of the pattern and where to get directions? I'm a newbie at quilting, but a friend is going to help me. Gpa is giving me a bunch of old worn flannel shirts for the fabric. Firgured while I was learning I wouldn't wast money on fabric, and if it turns out we may just give it to Gpa. |

I'm thinking like lemme see when, but I'd like some reds to blend with my comforter....I snuggle on there the most and red makes me happy. Let's see think you could start, I just got paid today and in 3 weeks? Sound good I'll put 40 this week aside and 40 next. :) Sound good?

Sherri, I love your quilt!! What a beautiful job you do. You know, I'm thinking I do like primitive! That is just the kind of pattern I would do. Machine quitling is sure easier than hand quilting isn't it? I learned the from scratch quilting all hand done. It takes so much time. If I do another one iy will be machine for sure!

Bridget has ordered one of these quilts with the predominent color being red. Maybe when she gets it she will post a picture and we can see how it looks in different fabric. I want to take an informal poll here - do you ladies think I should add this quilt to my line that I sell? I haven't had anything but crib quilts before, but maybe I could sell some of these too. What do you think? They would be $80.

Hi Sherri, Your quilt is lovely!I think you'd do well with it. $80 is a great price. Just as a frame of reference, I sell new quilts that size in my antique booth for $98. Rhonda
