Hhhmm, I've been seeing alot of those eco friendly grocery totes and now I'm catching the fever. I have seen alot of really cute ones but I don't think I'm ready to tackle that project without a pattern but I really want to either buy or make one soon. I was thinking of Bartering for it but I have never bartered on here and I am not sure what to offer in return. I sew and do some handwork but I don;t know if anything I do would really equal the value of the tote. Any suggestions on what to trade for it? You can see some of my work on my Blog to get an idea of what I can do. I just need suggestions, I can't commit to bartering until I know of something to offer in return...thanks for any of your ideas!

Have you seen MaryJane's Taskgirl tote?

I have one of these and am inseperable from it. It is purse, grocery bag and diaper bag depending on what I need for the day. I love it.

You don't have to barter your handwork for the tote. A lot of times when I barter I just put a list of items that I would be interested in having or have to barter with. You can barter with anything! Cookbooks, gardening magazines, sewing books/mags, extra sewing supplies you have, fabric, patterns, etc. The sky is the limit! Just take a good look around your house and make a list.

Rebekah, I looked on your blog but I don't see any bags. Lots of other cute things, but no bags.

Looking at MaryJane's, which has the adorable graphics, I'd have to have an outside pocket (for keys, sunglasses, etc) and adjustable straps before I'd buy. An inside pocket with a zipper would be nice, too. Sometimes I need a short strap to hook over my arm. Heavier stuff needs to go over a shoulder.

I know I know, I'm fussy.
