I just joined too, and was wondering how much leeway we would be given to decorate them. I am pleased to see the sky's the limit, because I have some ideas! Can't wait till it gets here! |

Hey, Shari! Can't wait to see what you come up with! Love your member name, Sharikrsna! Like harikrishna, but oops, I don't know how to spell it. Anyway, too cute and I get it.

It finally arrived today! I am thinking pink gingham around the outside (a ruffle) and then some hot pink tatting over that, at least for starters! Gotta find cute little buttons or beads to stick on there though.

Wow, Shari! That was fast! You finished it in three days! I totally love the pink gingham ruffles with lace! So pretty! And you even embroidered flowers. Girl, you are going to look so cute sporting that badge!

Yeah, I made it into a pin, so I can put it on the jacket, or an apron, whatever! Even my overalls!!! You can't really tell, but I embroidered the letters in a blue shade. I left the chicken alone because I didn't want to lose any detail.

I just got mine in the mail today! I love the idea of making it into a pin so I can wear it on my old denim jacket and remove it before I throw the jacket in the wash! :-)

Thank you Chelsey! I'm afraid stitchery is not my strong suit... But I had a lot of fun tonight with the logo - first doing a nice hen, and then fun colors for the text! I'm going to Michaels Crafts tomorrow to get a backing and a pin so I can turn it into a "pin on" badge, cuz I am quite sure my attempts at needlework would NOT survive the washing machine... LOL!

I finished my farmgirl logo patch! I want to put it on a denim jacket that I've taken the sleeves off of. This was my very first attempt at embroidery. The "bling" on the bottom and the right side are vintage brooches that belonged to my husband's grandmother. I wish I would have made Henrietta's beak and feet a darker yellow. This was a lot of fun.

Marian/Dutchy, I'm sorry that you can't join. I hope that you will be able to soon!
Oney, so neat that you got to use some vintage pieces!
Connie! My mom knows a Connie from New York. Does your last name start with one of the letters from near the end of the alphabet?

I've been thoughtfully contemplating how I want my badge to look. Everyone has done such a nice job of personlizing thiers. I want mine to reflect the real me so I guess I should just do it and see what happens!!
