GOSH .. i find that i get more excited about 'gift-giving' on Valentine's Day than i do on Christmas! this is the celebration of the year that i send gifts to ALL my family members! a little 'love' gift at this 'sweet' time of the year! today, i had such fun shopping for treats .. got LOTS of CANDY of course .. and will get a small 'trinket' gift for everyone too.
i have a tradition of sending a 'monthly' small "remembering you" gift to the children in my life .. and on holidays (like valentine's day .. easter .. etc.) i make it EXTRA special. it's never EXPENSIVE .. but i love pulling together boxes, bags and baskets of 'theme' gifts .. and wrapping them real pretty!
i always check the 'after-holiday' sales .. for NEXT YEAR! got some wonderful children's christmas books for HALF-PRICE at Barnes and Noble today too!
going to be 'making' some prizes for valentines and easter too! will post pics of what i make!
i got hank a wonderful book for valentine's day: "1,000 places to see before you die"!!! (i got him the 'world-wide' one for christmas and i just got him the USA & CANADA edition for 'heart's day'.)
