So sorry Bonnie, they (our lil' animals) become our shadows - wherever we are, they are on our heels. I lost my dog nearly 6 years ago and I think of her still. The pain eased after a while and now
the memories are very sweet. I'm sure she knew she was very loved.
This is the opening paragraph from a book that someone gave me when I lost my sweet pet - a book called "Dog Heaven" by Cynthia Rylant.
"When dogs go to Heaven, they don't need wings because God knows that dogs love running best... He gives them fields. Fields and fields and fields."
Find comfort in knowing she is running.

bonnie, i am so sorry.. i knew this was coming and the comments you posted to my blog made me cry...my advice..do not let anyone tell you that it is "just a dog". be sad and miss her as long as you need to...you are in my thoughts and prayers..you made sure she had a terrific life..hold on to that..
