jus' returned from celebrating Christmas with our family in Toledo .. ohhhh .. what a wonderful, wonderful, and yes WONDERFUL time we did have .. three times over!!!!
six year old lucas is as beautiful as ever ... i swear .. that golden-haired prince is SUCH an angel-child! (i'll be posting photos in my 'gathering room' over the next coupla' days .. i had so much fun playing all his christmas games with him .. my FAV being .. DEAL .. or NO DEAL! i LOVED his deals when he was 'banker' .. he either offered me ONE DOLLAR or a MILLION DOLLARS!!!
precious princess sofia (who is finally getting a 'tuft' of 'yellow duck down' on top of her beautiful little head!) .. yep! be looking for photos in my gathering room! ... is absolutely the cutest little thing god ever made! she has an amazing personality .. is beautiful .. loving and snuggly .. and i adore her 'independent spirit'! she loves her big brother dearly .. but we all about fell on the floor laughing when she toddled into his room and physically tried to pitch him off the chair so that she could sit down! (she has an adorable PRINCESS chair in her room .. and she and Lucas would both RACE for it each morning .. soooooo Santa brought lucas his own chair for her room .. hmmmmmm .. me-thinks the fat man needs to make a return trip and bring another chair for sofia to put in lucas' room!
we had a beautiful family gathering with lots and lots of little children .. son-in-love frank's brother matt has two little girls about 13 months apart (the oldest having just turned TWO!) .. AND .. they just had a baby brother .. who came to christmas dinner on his FOURTH day of life! how quickly we forget how TINY they are!
wednesday, frank, lucas, sofia, hank and i had a delightful morning of opening gifts .. and as always .. we do a 'family' photo each holiday.
frankie told us all to sit on the sofa .. cuz' he was going to take a 'movie' of the 'whole family' together with their new camera. he proceeded to set the camera steady and pushed the button to start it and ran to the sofa .. then they showed us a beautiful photograph of frank and wednesday, lucas and sofia .. and .. (be still my heart!) ... attached to the bottom in fold-out style was a SONOGRAM .. i looked puzzled and asked: "is that sofia"? i looked into wednesday's beautiful little face and saw tears forming .. still confused .. i asked: Lucas? .. more tears (of joy) and a gentle 'no' shake of her head! i just SCREAMED with delight as hank sat still confused! (he WILL deny that .. of course!) a new little angel-child due mid-JUNE!
oh yes .. THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL!!!

thanks amanda .. i thank god for every beautiful day! AND .. NEXT WEEK .. i travel 'up nawth' (or mayhaps that should be 'back east' to visit our other two grandchildren and our GREAT-GRANDSON to celebrate Christmas (AND .. their January birthdays!) talked with an 'olde beau' tonight .. and will be having dinner with him .. haven't seen him in about 25 years .. AND .. i might be seeing 'my first love' (i was FOURTEEN!!) while there too! honey hunk says: 'just no SERIOUS kissin'!

they announced lucas birth on christmas even seven years ago!!! they didn't have him until they had been married about seven years .. and THAT was a surrprize! but i just KNEW that two little angels would be our only lot in life .. but oh my! the 'shock and awe' (The GOOOD Kind!) i'm still floating on air with a grin from ear to ear! xo
