Beth - Email me as soon as you see this.....I have UPS confirmation that it was delivered. I had trouble with the address that Alee gave me and it was sent back from the post office and I had to pay again for UPS. Please contact me. I sent the girls out for the second time on October 5th.
Thanks! Jessica

No Kidding, Jessica! I was worried too, but I knew we would find them because you are wonderful and had the tracking code! Luckily the shipping and recieving lady that had them is wonderful ( a farmgirl at heart?) and knew how special they were. She had opened the box to see what it was since she didn't recognize the address.

I keep thinking of the ole Johnny Cash song "I've Been Everywhere" when I think of the dolls.
Something I should add for folks...the dolls with the traveling trunk, scrapbook, fillings, etc in the box are about 15 or so pounds. It was a lot heavier than I thought they would be after seeing photos on here. Just wanted to prepare ya'll on the cost. Depending on where you live and where the next person lives, the cost can vary. It cost like $9 to get to me, but cost almost $20 for me. I guess it depends on how far away you are from a UPS warehouse or post office headquarters. And it is well worth having a tracking number whether it is UPS or USPS!! :)

Also- you all might consider getting online Fed-Ex accounts. It saves something like 15% on shipping costs and is free to sign up. I ship everything Fed-Ex ground.

Well, let me tell you ladies it has been one rough trip but they both got here safe and sound. They have a bit of jet lag from the UPS trip and are resting comfortably. I found just the right rocking chair for Meg and Stella. Tomorrow promises to be a big day as we are off to do a bit of shopping, making some wheat bread and an apple Chill-over and then off to a hockey game ( we will of course watch the pucks to keep everyone safe). Because of the big delay arriving here, they will have to shorten their stay, which they regret but they know that they are expected elsewhere soon.
Well, that's it for now. I am sure when they are rested they will give you all a full report of their UPS adventure!

Whew.....so glad to hear that they made it up there!!! I seriously doubt I'll use UPS again for shipments. That was an adventure! I'm happy that you got them finally. That hockey game sounds like fun!
Take care, Jessica

We are having such fun here though our trip was a bit rough and very long. Beth has been a gracious hostess and both Meg and I are making such wonderful new friends. I decided to give a quick stitching lesson to some of the farmgals.
Much love to all! MaryJane, Meg & Baby StellaTraveling Dolls!

Where did the "gals" spend Christmas? I was going through old posts and remember the dolls. Does anyone have photos of all the scrapbooking pages?
