Hi Jessica!
They stayed the Christmas with MaryJane at the Farm. They got a little hung up at their last stop and needed some rest and relaxation before hitting the road again. They also needed to go shopping (Yay!) to get more album pages for their next set of adventures. And while they were home...they got some new additions to their wardrobe! Thanks for asking! I will be contacting everyone on the waiting list soon!

Oh that's great that they got to spend the holidays with "mom & sis". Teehee. I think they need a little guitar with them so they can sing "On the Road Again" every time they head out to a new home.

Hi Alee, I'd like to be added on the list for the dolls to visit. I am assuming there is a long waiting time but that's ok...as long as I am on the list. Is there a pattern available for clothes to make for them?

Hi Linda!
I will add you to the list! I don't believe there are any patterns out there, but Luzy createdt them, so maybe she would know their "size"?

Oh, the girls had such fun here at the farm over the holidays! They are traveling with quite a few new outfits and accessories. My favorite are MeggieRae's new striped PJ's and robe! And new aprons, of course! Wouldn't I love a pair of long underwear with lace at the bottom for myself?
We also started a new scrapbook for the girls' travels because the last one is plum full! Alee will be in touch shortly and get them on their way to their farmgirl friends!

Oh my - those aprons are just TOO adorable!! And the bathrobe and pjs. What about the wee little one? She was too cute. Can't wait to hear about their latest adventures. I enjoyed having them here in my neck of the woods.

Checking in to see if the gals have adventured on to their new home. They have been awfully quiet lately.

Where are the dolls at now? I was going through photos tonight and remembered the dolls. Hopefully they haven't gotten all cold this winter! "Mary Jane" and "Meg" may need to pack some longjohns with them on their adventures. :)

I was just wondering last week where the girls are sightseeing these days. Hope it's someplace warm! Thanks for asking about them. Hugs, Lu

Dear dolly lovers, Meg has them all boxed up along with their new clothes and accessories but shipping has gone through the roof. It costs about $30 one way and the last time they traveled we almost didn't get them back because of it. We had to issue a UPS call tag and keep our fingers crossed. So we've been trying to decide what to do about that? It's fun to ship them with all the clothes, etc. that they've picked up along the way but the weight of those and the weight of the metal doll box (good protection though for bumps en route) make the box weigh a bit. Any ideas????

Mary Jane - I remember how heavy that box was. I remember the scrapbook was really heavy as full as it was. Here would be a suggestion. I would not put the scrapbook in the box, but rather post the pages on the website, which you have been doing. People could send you pages when they are done or send out a smaller book. It could even be a clear view binder that has sheet protectors in it.
Too bad the USPS Flat rate box is too small for the gals to travel in. Is there anyone else that offers "flat rate" service - pay one price for however much it weighs?
Maybe the dolls could be sent to chapter to chapter when you know that there will be a gathering of the chapter. Rather than one person having the doll, all the gals could have adventures for one day with the dolls. You would have to make sure that someone is in charge and sends them to another chapter in time.
Now I'm sitting here thinking of traveling songs...Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere" is a rolling through.

I would suggest finding a new "home" for the girls instead of the trunk. Maybe decorate a large sturdy shoe box or a sealable small plastic tub that they would fit in with all the goodies. Also start a smaller journal since the original one is full, or like suggested earlier, have the pages mailed to the farm to be included with the original scrapbook. I like the idea of them visiting chapters, but if we can keep the postage down, I'd still like to see them visiting individual Farmgirls. That's my 2 cents worth! Hugs, Lu

Oh yeah Luzy - forgot about the trunk. It was super heavy. Yep - maybe something smaller & lightweight to fit the girls. You can get those small totes with handles that are clear pretty cheap. It would be neat to decorate one and then the smaller journal, or just have the pages mailed to the farm and they scan in the pages to put online.
Here is an example of one of those totes. They have a "tall" one because I use them for my craft projects and traveling: http://www.rubbermaid.com/rubbermaid/product/product.jhtml?prodId=HPProd100200
