| no no no....you will all get them. They are boxed up and ready for take off, a few people have already gotten theirs, but after the first wave went out, i got busy and havent been to the PO again. I need to get on it! |

Hey Bev,
my DH is getting a frozen T.V. dinner tonight, the race is on girlfriend!!!
hmmmm wonder where I can find mini holsters or horseys or horse shoes or or or cowgirl hats, oh darn
to many fun ideas!
This will be a real rootin tootin mini swap....
Bonnie you are right, this is what happens when swap mama Kathie leaves us unattended...we run amock!

Boy, I hope I don't miss the Western mini apron swap. I am leaving for a three week trip next week. I don't have time t omake them before I go. Hope you all wait until I come back for the deadline date. I lvoe the idea of western minis.
My valentine ones go out today. I forgot yesterday the post office was closed. I even had time to embellish these, and I loved doing that part. Hope yo uall like them.

Hey Bev,
got mine (did 25) done 'cept the lil heehaw embelishments,,,,woke up this morning with a cool idea!
SHRINKY DINKS.. . remember those sheets of plastic that you could color w/marker pens, cut out, put on a cookie sheet and bake...the plastic would curl & shrink and then flatten out...hmmm, me thinks I could make horse shoes or ????(depends on my artist skills)
I am also sneaking into town today, to Michaels to see if they have anything westernyish, if not then I am buying some Sheets of Shrinky Dink....HeeHaw!
Oh how was your crockpot dinner? Those T.V. dinners were ok,,,,but I found myself "grazin" through the fridge late last night!  aack!
(mailed off the stuff for Julia's quilts this morn.)

Oh Man, Gracie...now you have really given me an idea...can I use your shrinky dink (not the horseshoe...I have another idea...)idea???...could not find any western buttons or anything cute at JoAnns....otherwise my pockets are on and mine are basically done.....oh my, maybe I need to do more....Oh yea, and now that they are done....I saw the cutest brown "suede" fringe at JoAnns....but alas...too late.
The potroast was delish...unfortunately, Hubby had to deal with an emergency...so I was left to eat it alone. Oh well....at least I had a little spare time for crafting!! Man did I have the munchies last night....finally had to pop myself a whole kettle full of popcorn (of course with melted butter and salt).

| i sewed up a quilt top today full of blank squares. i think tonight sounds great for sewing up the minis...hoopefully i dont fall asleep when the kids go to bed! |

Hey Bev,
by all means, shrinky dink your self silly! lol!
Awhile back I bought some faux suede(for an other project), sort of a eyelet design w/little metal circles... but it was about 3" so I cut it into strips using zigzag scissors and created a faux suede trim on the aprons, but I only had enough to make 6 aprons w/the suede trim. I should just go buy some more & add it to the rest of the minis. I had just "fringed" the others, I guess I have time to go get some more of the suede...
Jeepers, we great minds do think alike don't we!
As for Michaels, they had little asst. packs of some what westerny type buttons, but I would have had to buy about 10 packs just to get 20 little buttons, so I am going back to the Shrinky dinks idea.
Hey Jess, poor Kathie has no idea that we have elected her to be the Western Mini's swap Mama,,,,guess she will be needing a martini when she finds out! hahaha! But if she is tired and wants to have a break, I don't mind stepping up to the plate.
Speaking of plates, Bev, your pot roast sounds sooooo good, w/fresh biscuits & jam, oh yum.
Last night was T.V. dinners & then later it was cabinet foraging and by 9pm it was popcorn & ice tea in bed flipping between the DIY & HGTV channels. DH was working in the "Man Cave" (his work shop) till dinner. I love it, that's when I get my best sewing done.

"Man Cave" !!!!! ROFL!! I breached the Man Cave by putting a treadle out there. I thought he'd enjoy the company, but last night he says, "are you finished with 'your' cutting table"? (aka: one of his nice wide work tables) I had all these fabric scraps on it. hehehehe
I really do enjoy the bright overhead lighting out there~something to work on more in my "real" sewing areas. (Since treadles don't have built-in lights.)
