Holy Schmuck!!! Jess is almost done!!! And the deadline is next Friday??!!?!?!?!?!
Yaw HOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo!!!
That means you can start on the next mini apron swap, and the one after that , that we are "forcing" to happen!! LOL I'm SOOOOO proud of you Jessica! ;)
Yes, separate threads are initiated for each swap. If Kathie isn't thrilled about hostessing the Spring/May/Garden swap, I'll be happy to do it too.

I am trying to turn over a new leaf this year, actually, I am usually really good until the April, then we have a half dozen birthdays in April, then I am really good again until September, then between the 24th and New Years Day I get all bogged down again, so we shall see how it goes, but I never wanna be behind this year! |

You ladies are too funny. I think I love the thread on mini aprons as much as the minis.
Make sure I get on that list for Western mini aprons. I can't wait to try some things out when I get home. I am going to look for embellishments while on vacation. That gives my "shopping" some focus.
Well, ladies, I am off in jsut a few days. I might get a to check in if my mom will loan me her laptop while down htere. I think you can get service from the neighbor next door (no kidding here. It's like "robbing" for internet access, I think!)
I'll be thinking of all my northern buddies while enjoying Florida sunshine and warmth. Wish you all could get this break. I know I need it, soaking up Vit D and getting stronger to boot.
I can't wait to get the minis when I get home. happy sewing for anyone still creating.

Oh Claire....have a warm and sunny, wonderful time in FLÅ!!! While the rest of us Northerners are freezing our butts off!!!
Jess, send the jet....I'm there....a whirling dirvish, white tornado will hit Bloomington!! I could play "Grammy" and spoil all the kiddos, too!!
Bonne....I cannot wait for Spring chores....but I can sleep a little less and get minis done too!!! Especially if I get my Consew working and a decent ruffler....I'll be crankin minis out like my very own sweat shop!!
BTW....you gals were busy last night. Now here is my dream.....to own one of those machines that you can embroider with that hooks to your computer and digitizes any picture and then embroiders it right up!! Hmmmmmm..I'm gonna need to get a job to afford that one!

Have fun Clare! Hope you have a great time!
Bev..when you get that machine, can I just send you my projects? I might be dreaming of that one forever!
Okay now I had the weirdest night last night!
YOu all know what I am talking about...
my husband comes home from work late, lets me know on his drive home that he really wants to just spend time with me, so I am ecstatic you know...so i feed the kids, put em to bed, clean up from dinner, sew a few minis, make dinner for my husband.
He gets home, reads the mail eats dinner, I finish up hangin out here wih all of you. We go spend our romantical time together...go to bed.
Well, I know some of you can follow this...when I sleep...I am out...several kids usually migrate throughout the night to my bed to snuggle in..i never know it until I awake with them all around and on top of me.
So at 2:35am my eyes pop open to the sound of what...yes my 3 year old who is asleep on top of me vomitting...on my face, ear and hair. Well, there are 4 kids in my bed so i am literally pinned down as she barfs away and it is landing on the quilt, the top sheet, the pillows, me , my one year old, and everywhere, but it is dark, so i am not sure where else at this point.
After several seconds of this scene, my husband clues in...shoots outta bed and exclaims at the top of his lungs..."Oh sh*t ...someone is throwing up!" Good one..he is so observant. So he flips on the light and stands there staring at the tiny little girl that is still barfing all over me...and the whole room reeks of last nights Mexican I fixed...ewwwwwww gross, I know. I am sure you all needed that graphic depiction.
So as she continues to vomit, he grabs her with arms extended and carries her all the way to the bathroom, leaving a trail. So I start taking the clothes off all the other kids, while he tends to my poor little sick twin. I clean up the floor, strip the bed...remake the bed, luckily somehow we avoided soiling the down comforter, whew! Then I go to the shower...I cannot believe I did not get sick...it was all over me...and how on earth did I remake the bed without get it disgusting? who knows. But that was the grossest shower I have ever taken.
So I get outta the shower come back to my room, the other kids crawled right back into my bed and are sound asleep, John is still in his bathroom with our 3 yr old, cleaning her up. So I made her a nice cozy palette on the floor near the toilet...which she thought was so cool! And we all went to bed. Poor little girl!
4:50 am..I wake up to my husband jumping outta bed..."oh my leg . oh my leg!!" He has this muscle cramp that lsts a good 15 minutes in his leg...muscle hard as a rock...weird..and this morning his leg hurts from it.
That was my very weird night...and this morning my other 3 yr old is throwing up. We are gonna have a great weekend!
HOw about all of you..how is your weekend going? |

EWE!!! Jess, you poor thing,,,,,hope your little ones are feeling better.
OK, missy Bev, you win, but only because I could not find my shrinky dink and had to run over to Joanns and buy a pack....but I got my horse shoes colored & cut out as well the little MJF & sheriff stars... fyi, I tried to draw western hats & boots---artist I am not! so I am sticking w/the horsey shoes & even they look kittywhampus! so now to "bake" them & then tie them on each apron.... I was gone all day yesterday & did not get to peek in MJF)so, wowzer! everyone has been busy... you all crack me up! but I too am up for the (fun) challenge....4th of July's/garden/ Easter/mini's, Bring it on Girlfriends! Hey how about a Birthday themed one & then we can celebrate a "Happy Un-Birthday", after all, we aren't getting older just more creative! (we can write our name & b-date on the back side) We even could do a animal/pet theme,,,oh the themes are endless.... Ok, gotta head into town w/D.H. to go to Harbor Freight, & if I am lucky we will stop off at a thrift shop... Believe it or not I often find the best fabric @ our local good will. I have bought fabric remnants(1-4yards) for anywheres of $.99 to 2.99....bring it home launder it, iron & then cut & sew. Ok, ladies,,,,,sew sew sew..... >^..^< Happiness is being a katmom. mjf#72 Sisters on the Fly#472 www.katmom4.blogspot.com |

ROFL!!! @ Jessica!! If only we could film that sitcom!!
I think I've experienced similar only with cats instead of kids on the bed lately~LOL
Bev, you deserve that embroidery machine~you've put in your years of work, and it's not like it would sit and collect dust!!! It's a positive investment! Mother's Day~that's what I'm thinking. Should I email your hubby and kids the "hint"?

Oh Jess: I can still smell that horrible experience of yours. I hope you don't all get sick now. It'll be like one of those South Park episodes (my students actually watch that junk, so I try to once in a while) where everyone throws up because everyone else is.
Bev: Get that embroidery machine!! You deserve it and will use it all the time!
How are you all doing this weekend? It's chilly and damp here again.

Dear Jack, Momma NEEDS one of these: http://www.sewvacdirect.com/embroiderymachines1000up.html I'm thinking in the $1,000+ and up range, as we don't want to be looking at half-a$$-ed models. This is Beverly we're talking about. She deserves the best,(plus you know how hard she can be on power tools~we need to consider the heavy-duty models.) I'm also thinking that Mother's Day would be an appropriate occasion to gift her with this (plus a gift certificate for the necessary threads and other gadgets.) Although, if it can be procured b/4 that date, all the better!! By informing you of this NEED, I'm saving you countless hours of frustration and wonder when it comes to gift shopping for upcoming holidays for the most important person in the world, to you! You are welcome, in advance, as I'm sure you will waste no time to fulfill this necessary purchase! Sincerely, Bonne(one who knows)

good one bonne...that should work, right Bev? However, I have a feeling all you need to do is let him know it is what you want, and you will have it ASAP!
I am so glad we could entertain you Bev, that is hilarious!
UMM...Bonne...you need to make some more of those emails to send to John about the srger! |
