Grace- Nora hates getting the snow on her face, so she stays in unless I am carrying her or in the stroller. But I went and made a snow angel and about couldn't get back up again because of the snow depth! LOL

Go sew lady sew lady sew!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm snow angel, may have to try one of those but I think I am just as concerned about trying to get back up because of the depth. May hae to think about that one,

Amanda, here is what I have, Phone: Qwest: 1.866.742.0709 (they might be abl to bundle your ph/cable & internet) Inland power: 509.747.7151 Banner Fuel (Propane):509.535.1711 Direct T.V.: 1.800.805.8570 Sunshine trash p/u : 509.924.5678 Hughes Internet Satelite(which I hate having but can't get cable on our road):888.667.5537 Hope these numbers help you. Your trash & propane might be different companies in Medical Lake. Oh & if ya go w/the satelite, as we did, be sure to ask about the internet useage...we didn't know that there were different levels and one day could not access our internet 'cuz we had "gone over our usage" so they told us & had to wait 24 hours to get back on line! To say we were not 'Happy Campers' is an understatment!!! hugz,

I suppose the fact that their was a usage quota was in the very very fine print. We can't get broadbad here either and were toying with the idea of satelitte but I just couldn't justify the cost so we installed a second line for the internet and now it might take time to download something but it doesn't tie up our main line. So far it's worked pretty well. JoAnn (lurking up here in the Forgotten Corner) |

ok gals so here it goes right at this moment i am feeling very overwelmed and a tad deppressed. looking at the numbers of what ya owe can be very hard and on top of that all i can think is how in the world am i suppose to bring a new baby into this situation. along with that my house is just an abomination and i dont know where i went wrong, i cant find a clean spot for the life of me cause i clean a four foot or greater area only to find it destroyed by the rest of the family. i do realize that some of my emotional state is due to the hour of the night, beth is having an asthma flare up so i have to medicate her every four hours along with in the morning take her to the doc, get her sis to school and then find some sleep in there somewhere(hubby has the creeping crud too). oh question for you gals that have had a boy did you get them circumsized(spelling). i had no idea until about a week ago that you have to pay for it now, cause insurance wont cover it because its considered cosmetic. oh yeah and then how do you know how qualified a doc is to do it cause its so tiny. ikes!!!!! thanks gals for listening i just needed to get it out. i am sure its bound to happen again but usually someone is awake to talk to

Hey Teresa!
If you are still awake- I am am too. As to the house, you might just have to lay down the law and make the rest of the family accountable for their actions. And perhaps you could send the girls on to Grandma's more of the time? I know it is a rough time of year because they have to be inside so much. Do the girls have chores of their own?
As to the financials- it's always hard. But the fact that you are aware of your situation and working to make it better is the hardest and best step. If you (1) quite accruing new debt (new credit cards, new payday loans etc) and (2) start paying off old debt then you are working forward instead of backwards. Even paying $10 a month, while it might not seem a lot, it is at least paying something! :D
Don't get overwhelmed just repeat to yourself "I am doing the best that I can right now" and then make sure that you really are! You would be suprised at how much money you can squeeze out of even the tightest budget if you really squeeze.
Certainly check out the many frugal living websites out there including www.hillbillyhousewife.com That is one of my favorites sites.
As to the cleaning, also check out http://flylady.com

Carol Sue, My corner of the world is very white. We didn't get the big amounts of snowfall Spokane had last week but we have lots of snow on the ground from previous snowfalls. So I'm sitting by the fire finishing projects and looking at all the tall snow covered trees . Lovely sunny day today let the melting begin. JoAnn |

Teresa - It's the power of your mind. BELIEVE you can do it, and it will happen for you Girl. You just can't doubt it for a second. Like Alee said, if you start small, you can widdle away some of it. Contact your creditors and ask them to work with you...you'd be surprised how willing they will be to help you out. They just want SOMETHING back and will sometimes lower your balance!
My son was circumsized, but my insurance paid for it at that time. The hospital should have a doctor who specializes in doing it, so I wouldn't worry about checking their credentials or seeing before and after pics. :o) We had it done because it's much more hygenic (in my opinion). Anyway, you may ask your doc how much it would be and talk to you insurance to see if they'd pay for it.
I also agree with Alee about giving the kids some chores. We have a dry erase board on our fridge and the kids have chores they need to do everyday (like sweeping the kitchen, vacuuming their rooms etc). Once they complete it they can check it off on the board. It's a great motivator and also helps us see if they did it. Something to think about.
Have a super day!! Heather

Teresa when you look at number all you see is HUGE!!! Trust me Iknow. All you cando is start chipping away at it. Small things first, once you get those out of the way,if you have things that are in Collections, call them when you have the money to pay them and SETTLE!!!! The collection companies get paid PENNIES to the DOLLAR of what your original is.Offer them 60-70%LESS than what they are saying you have to pay.Trust me.Say you have a bill thats (one like I had) 3800.00 call them and say I need to settle my account, I have 800.00 to pay in FULL/settle.TRUST ME they will take it!NEVER go OVER half, that is one thing I learned, since being here and paying ours off, I paid more than I had to. After reading a few things I realized there is also a statue of limitations, if they are calling you about something you hadsay when Kbugs was a baby,it is probably too late for them. Never talk on the phone with them PLEASE!!! They will back you into a corner. If they call YOU tell them I will only deal with you in writing. They have to listen, there are laws against things they do.And if you dont know the laws you think they can get away with it. Teresa you CAN do it! I promise, baby steps. We will back you up. I agree with all the house work being piled on you. I think everyone should have chores! lol

lol who me share a nasty cold
hey manda when we get our income tax return could i come to your house and have your help with those nasty collections guys. there is only one i must pay in full because it was a servce that was provided greatfully(eye surgery and not the fun corrective one either)
and yeah the kids have some choirs i have just done a bad job of follow thru and its my fault for alot of the clutter, kinda spoilled 'em with stuff so done with that.
doing better today but i am wiped out. i got an hour of sleep before getting the oldest ready for school and then only four after that. beth woke up a bunch of times during the night. so sleep tonight will be a top priority. and the funny of the day could someone please tell me who made the side effects to prescriptions so i can knock some sense into them.... dang antibiotics eating up my gut and on top of it giving me horrible heartburn. or maybe i should be upset with the cat oh i have options, ok going now starting to ramble about nothing (i might be a little tired) gotta get beth to sleep

LOL Alee....Shimmy, huh? My DH drools when I do pilates...and there's no jirating!! He'd probably have a heart attack. :o) Didn't Carmen Electra just come out with a new workout video that requires installing a stripper pole in your livingroom? Maybe you should look into that! Nora needs a baby brother or sister. :o) Just teasing!
Teresa, I hope you get some sleep tonight! It's never fun when the kiddos are not feeling good. I hope everyone gets sleep and better soon!!
Have a great night all, Heather
