Bev,

I was hoping there would be treadle graphics being uploaded right and left with so many here that collect them. ...maybe we'll get some today.

The only decent machine graphics are the ones I posted from earlier today...the one that E- and the Gibbs machine I posted..pretty sure it's not print quality but it should be good enough for the web logo. I can play with the layering but not until the next weekend probably..if I should have anything to show before then I'll post it.

Ok, off to dreamland after an all nighter of stitching...have a great day!

Hopefully Sadie got settled- dogs can be so funny!
We had a little benji-type dog once and I think he had anxiety disorder or something.
We had him for a year or so and our big dog went missing. We are in the country and a big dog is a must- at least for us.
After months of looking we decided to adopt another big dog.
We did and the day we did was SOOOO funny.
He was a big doberman-shepherd cross and only a puppy but a big one.
When we let Clyde(little one) outside to meet Andy(big one) he sniffed around the crate and turned and went inside.
We paid little attention since he seemed uninterested at all.
Later we noticed Clyde wasnt around. We finally found him nearly comatose in the corner drooling and glassy eyed. He was limp and so sad looking.
If he was human I would have thought he was drunk!! It took him several days to get back to normal but he did.
He did that several more times during his time here with us- sorry no sewing just a funny dog story!

Lots going on here! I love the bee and treadle logo -- I would not include an apron on the bee. That WOULD be corny, in my world at least. And I like very clean graphics. Love the bee as is. Love the treadle idea, but don't know how it would translate into a small image. (BTW, the Willcox and Gibbs may be like the one my mil is giving me. I still have not had a chance to actually open it up and see it.)

Looking forward to voting for the name. (I still like Bees without Borders)

Oh fun Bev.
"Treadle Bees"
I like the idea of the apron on the bee. If the bee were small enough the treadle Aunt George posted would be great. I don't know anything about graphics so I don't know if it would work out or not. I'll leave that up to those who know.

I believe we are going to do the Chapter talk over in that topic area and
leave the apron thread to sewing endeavors. That may help newbies
understand where this thread is going better. (and make catching up more
organized~hopefully! LOL)

OK gals.....here is the plan.....all postings relating to the "Without Borders" chapter should be left off this thread and placed on the "Farmgirl Chapters" forum. I started a new thread for us there.

Thanks....let's just keep this thread for our sewing and general gabbing. Keep posting those pictures....we all live to see them!!!

Well, I have a lot of new aprons, but have to iron them. I am thinking that rather than post them on here, that I will post a link to picturetrail.

What type of edging would you all put on an apron with a oriental style brocade? Would you think that lace would be out of place? Should I just use black bias tape to keep it clean?

Alee....I would probably stick with bias tape...just because Oriental themes tend to use simple lines.

okay..i am caught up now...my vote..not that it matters...sewing Bees without Borders" or something along those lines. I would like to see us use a logo someone here actually designed...not just captured off the net. I know some of you are way into that techie stuff, but this is really a grass roots kind of place flung intop cyberspace. This whole thing has gotten way too complex. I will work on a graphic for us sometime this week. I do not know if I will continue on with this, it is just getting really spread out. I do not know, I have probably read 50 pages on here today, and am overwhelmed. Anyway...I will now go in search of a new thread that I need to read now.

got an idea...treadle machine with apron being sewn on it under the needle...and the bee as part of the decorative design on treadle..like a big part of the scroll work. Know what I mean? I really like the idea of apron being sewn right then on the treadle...this wouldn't be corny. What do ya'll think???
