I had a partial manniquin given to me by a friend that worked at Old Navy.
They were throwing out some of the window manniquins and it was just the torso portion. I had to pad her up good to get her to size since I think she was about a 3!! Had fun with her , but it took up too much precious room in my house, so she had to go bye-bye.

With all the apparel you do and will be doing, I think you deserve one. AND a serger as well, of course.

Sorry I couldn't get that one to go smaller.
She loves to sew especially stuff like this. We are thinking about attending the Christmas ball so she'll probably have to make mine for that.

I have a dress form that I got off ebay for like $50. or so. I like it but it is older so doesn't have the thing where you turn the dial for the size you have to adjust each thing with a screw. pain in the neck but hey it works for me and once it's adjusted I can leave it alone. It has had the ball gown on it for the last couple weeks so now I have to adjust again because dd and I are definitely not the same size. I think she is a 2 and I am far from it...lol

WOW!! No wonder everyone had slaves and/or maids! To sew them and then to get the gals into 'em. Your daughter is a wonderful seamstress!

Denise, I have one of the older dress forms from the 1940's or 1950's. It really is a royal pain in the rear to adjust the size. I have to reach inside the form using the bottom opening. Thank goodness that I don't have to change it, so that is nice.

The only thing I have made that was anything major was my eldest daughters wedding dress. But I don't think I have any pictures on the computer though. Maybe I can find one and scan it in sometime.

I LOVE the gardening apron! Too cute!
I'm heading over to Naomi's blog to ck out the biscuit recipe.

I am about to tackle a wedding dress for my girl- she gets married in April to the sweetest little farmboy ya ever did meet!!!
Listen to this- for the past year he has driven 45 miles -one way to pick her up for church and then has her back home by curfew-10pm every wednesday!!! Never once complained about the gas, time or miles- I think she picked a winner!!!
Blessings
Autumn

THanks Jess...I let the first baby lizard go, decided I didnt want to spend my dance class money on crickets..selfish I know...:P
the second egg hasnt hatched yet, but I'll give it a bit longer before I just put it back outside...

Thanks Sharon, mom told me how to do the first biscuits I made(same three ingredients), I figured out the layers..years ago I saw a bread competition on the food network, and they were making layered something by putting butter between the layers, barely remember it, I couldnt have been more then 8 when I saw it...haha

Autumn...yeesh..I dunno about the chicken cutting tut...I thought they came boneless and already in pieces...:P j/k!
never had the..honor...of cutting a chicken up..so I couldnt exactly teach anyone how to do it..I had a hard enough time with the quail earlier in the week, hahaha...
