It's quiet here today. We got all the pvc up and connected. It still needs the chicken wire around it. It looks good so far.

Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Oh, my!! That is an adorable bag!! Karin, you're such an artist!
Look at all those seed pots that gal has started! I never have any luck starting seeds~I've just come to terms with that and wind up buying my pepper & tomatoes as plants and the rest start right in the ground.

Ruth, that would be great if you could post the picture. I managed to post something once, but since then I have lost the knack.

Bonne, I don't have much luck with starting from seeds either, except the flower ones I sow outside. When I start them inside they get too leggy and tip over, plus I have to keep them away from the army of cats who are always positive anything green is for them. I thought your cherry blossoms look lovely, and you are smart to have tomatoes in containers, get a bit of a head start.

I've been sewing and then realized i was hungry, well then I looked at the clock. No surprise then.

So I'm cooking chicken and squash...

Hey girls~ spring is here and the heat is coming on! Can't believe some of you are still building fires and have snow!

Still no time to sew-grrrrrr!!! Birthdays, weddings and showers!!!!
Had a lovely shower for a friend here at the house on Thursday and it was a beautiful day!

Another friend brought my gain mill back so in a week or so I can actually grind whole wheat right here and then bake my bread right away!
I can hardly wait!
I am still on South Beach (week 1) so no bread for 6 more days!!!!!

Just wanted to pop in to say hi and I am still here just crazy busy!!!!

Blessings,

HHHHmmmmmm, guess no one was too interested in posting how they celebrate Spring Equinox in the topic that I added in Holidays! LOL! (Sigh...) Well, I guess it really isn't a holiday...so I won't be posting anything like that again! LOL

Remember! Monday on my blog ......... pictures of my visit with my new friend, Melody! Kids, yarn, spinning, and some fun shots of us! I have a couple of "teaser" close up pictures on my Altered Shots page already.

Melody, I'll send you the pictures ASAP so you'll have them all. Hope to see you again soon!

Bonne, I have to say I am envious of you playing in the dirt in your garden so much. Hoping for great harvests for you girl!!!!!

Sounds like you girls are busy with the weekend and projects.

Autumn, busy girl that you are, glad you are checking in....

Now Jess, you are going to haved to tell us about all your adventures this week, I am sure that you have had plenty.

Karin, yep, we can dream through these gals and their gardening and getting ready.

Yesterday it was warm, a whooping 55, then back to normal. It has been raining cats and dogs off and on since last evening.
Yes, rain is good especially if it is snow in the mountains.
Looked at seeds with dd, and went hmmm, I need to get to thinking about what I am doing. Seems slow is just my speed.

Ohhh Nay what have you been up to.......

Carol and Monica, your get together sounded fun.

Ruth, What a great idea for squirrel and rascals to stay out!!!!!

Karin, I like your bag girl.

Had grand girls down for a bit tonight, they helped me make the doggie and kittie food. They decided real food was a lot better!!!! We have a movie date tomorrow afternoon. We are watching Bolt together. They have already watched it but want to watch it with Nana. I think it shall be fun.

I have to say I sure am enjoying sitting here listening to the rain splashing against the roof and running down the windows, replenshing the earth here. And hopefully getting rid of the rest of the snow and ice. Now that would be awesome for sure.
Kitties are playing across my legs, yowsers are their little claws sharp. Fun antics for sure.

Off to bed shortly, you gals have a great morning.....

Hey Carol......that's MENTALpause around here. ...It's ok to misspell, come up with new names, forget what you are thinking mid sentence, forget that you forgot, remember that you forgot, think that you forgot..let's see... what the hell was I talking about?!! LOL hehehehehe

Melody is a pretty name, isn't it, Monica!

Carol....see you fit here just perfect...Many of us don't roam too far from this area (anymore)...the vampires are a lurking.....I hate no one posted at your Equinox topic..sometimes they'll just let you hang out there all alone..we won't do that to you here.

Hey Carol Sue, Is the treadle still in your living room?

Carol Sue- ha, been busy, have been silent but still keeping up with what you all are talking about..helping get the house ready to go up for sale..nearly there! whooohooo! rearranged my room, packed up more stuff, getting other stuff put away neatly, finishing up some projects, have a couple more to start, plan to blog tomorrow or in a couple days...or whenever I get a free hour or so to collect all my pictures for the post..ha...will have more pictures after that too I'm sure...of my room(after it is all finally clean) a few other projects, etc...but for now...off I go...I'll pop in every now and again to say hi, but I'll be pretty quiet for the most part. ...we can't wait to get out of this town-so we've been busy the past few days...and will be for a little while longer...once all the work is done- the waiting begins...hope it doesnt take to long....

Carol, Spring Equinox IS a holiday!! Virtually all current holidays are based on ancient pagan celebrations. That's the reason you hear crickets chirp.....I could go into exhaustive tales about the Equinox, but it doesn't mean anything to most folks anymore, unless you're pagan.

Steph, Maybe I should not tell you this, but if you go to Carol's altered shots blog you can see a peek of one of your surprises!!!

Well it has only taken me a month, but I finally got some silk thread listed on etsy!!!!!I have 5 colors listed on there now and I am going to try to get the rest on today!

Yes the Equinox is definitely a holiday that deserves a celebration. I just have been caught up in a major pain episode for the last week or so and haven't had the brain cells connecting right.

I'm going to take a picture of my red ninepatch scrappy top that I finished (assuming I can find my camera, ha) I love it, it is so cheerful. I have been cutting out smaller bits to make another nine patch strippy with 6 inch blocks. I've decided to load it up with lots of old repro double pinks. OOh I love those old pinks, and the browns, and the blues, and especially the poison greens. I'm kind of an idiort when it comes to quiolts, I like to cram lots of colors in and if a block is too small, I just add a little piece, I like the randomness of the patterns too.

Sorry, babbling, I had to take two pain pills at once this morning in order to be able to move.

Steph, when are you moving to your new place? I'm confused about that, it just sounds like you have been very busy, long distance house trips can be exhausting.

I can hardly wait to see what jess' chicken coop looks like. I'm getting quite enamored of chickens, they are so great. One of my favorite paintings that my father did is one of a farmer and his huge flock of chickens. I can remember the farm, sadly it is long gone, but I still have the chicken flock!

Right, time to start moving...

Great pictures, Carol!!! What a fun day!
Monica your fibers are so pretty! How are the house problems? Better I hope. It is hard to have communication lapses when you are living in uncertain circumstances.

Carol Sue- sounds like a fun day with the grands!
It's all sunshine and warmth here- the spring rains will soon begin-don't worry!

New grandbaby is doing well.
My son in law also found a good job this week-praise God !!!
Unbelievable in the present economy!
They are very excited to get back to work and regular routine.

I hope to sew a bit this week-at least a few dresses for the summer.

I was thinking about the clothespin bag swap- is somebody gonna do that soon?
