Monica, getting a photo of two or more people where they all look good is almost impossible I think. I hate photos of me, last good one was in 1960 and before that, when I was about 3 years old.

I think Jess was gonna start it when we were ready....some of us are very slow slackers, yes, that would be me on catching up with other swaps that are incredibly late......

The $199 featherweight! what a deal..the other are too...I paid $299 + $30 shipping....very good condition..a lube and oil and she purrs like a kitten. And I had 3 treadles until I broke up housekeeping many years ago..alot of stuff got sold, lost or left behind...I'd rather have a collection of featherweights anyway. And I still want a Gibson..they are so tiny and cute!

Monica, I went to Carol's blog to peek and I saw it!!! woohoo...thank you!!

Karin, well then we are both in a state of confusion concerning (the rest) of my move...this winter ice has prevented us from getting that second truck up the mountain so now we are planning on the first of May...I'm starting to get antsy now that the weather is getting warmer..

There's someone out in the sewing area waiting for Jess to begin the next clothes pin swap..I told her she was busy building a hen house but she'd be back soon.

Carol. what wonderful pictures of your visit with Monica. And the yarn, oh my, such lusciousness and the colors!

My sone came out to visit today and stayed and cooked supper for me and Zan. It was so nice. 'The best part of the visit for me was hearing my kids howling with laughter, they get a real kick out of each other and both have a wicked sense of humor.

It is very very cold here, and exactly midnight so I'm going to bed...

Karin- I do believe it is one of the best parts of motherhood when the kids are adults and they howl with laughter with each other- or just visit "passionatly" as we say!!!
I just sit back and listen and savor every funny story and the funny way they saw things we all did together.
OOOOH it makes me miss having mine close enough to do that!!! I still have 3 nearby so it happens a bit still!!
Glad for you such a day happened!!!

Blessings,

Monica~your thread is amazing. I love the colors.

Karin~did your son get his haircut? It is great when they are getting along. I love it when my hang out together and have a good time. They are still young but it's great since my daughter is a teenager.

Autumn~How many children do you have? How many live far away? You have two daughters nearby and your son still at home, correct? It's great when you have them nearby. I can't imagine when they move away how I'll feel.

I hope they don't. I think my son would stay closer. My daughter wants to spread her wings and fly. Can't blame her.

Remember the $199 FW? Well I emailed and said I'd come Weds to see it~look at what the price is now: http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/art/1087161299.html
Someone tipped her off and she doubled the price. Pass on that one.

Next time I see a deal, I'll keep my mouth shut and leave immediately to see it. ;)

We got a little rain this morning! Very little, but it wet the concrete. How novel to see water falling from the sky! lol Got all my spuds planted in mounds yesterday. Need to continue with the rain dances though.

Bonne, Sorry about the machine! I don't think I would pay $400 for one.

You all are talking about kids growing up and moving away! Hannah will start school in July and I am so not ready to send her off on the bus!!! Maybe I will just home school them!!!
